It's much better now that we're in the SEC, but still largely an exercise between pain and temporary relief between the agony of defeat. Maybe you'll get there one day, maybe not. Again, OP was only pointing out team's recurring problems on a MESSAGE BOARD. He didn't show up to your house demanding beers and bbq while unloading this thoughts in your living room. 1 Quote

Lingering ideas that He might go undrafted… Ewers was s 6th rnd pick! ive been Wrong every game this season! BTW, I'm willing to bet large sums of $$ that barring a serious injury, any year Arch decides to declare himself for the NFL draft, he will be a first round pick, Not saying his production in Austin warrants this selection, but the raw talent alone will get him there. Dillon Mitchell in basketball is a comp, a bad comp, but still a comp. He was a useless player for us/Cincy/St Johns, but his raw athletic talent got him drafted, and he made the Celtics. Imagine if he had the family pedigree? 1 Quote

I’ve been a fan since the Strong era, I’ve seen misery. Until we get there again I’m going to have fun. No need to be a chud every game, at the end of the day football is a W or L sport and we got a dub against a top 10 team who has a top 3 QB in cfb while down most of our good players. Football is only a Joyless sport if you have nothing else better to do or if you lost money on a parlay🤘 We all know the recurring problems too, we’re past the point of making whole threads on it. The mods already have them set up and that’s what we have game day threads for. Not everyone wants to nit pick every little thing. It’s a terrible way of viewing things. BevoTenn25 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago We’re all fans for a reason, but some of you gotta learn to step away from the sites, pregame videos, film breakdowns, etc. on Texas football or any media outlet on a daily basis. Put your phones down and give yourself a little peace for a day or two. Be passionate but don’t lose your peace trying to breakdown every little thing that doesn’t go right. Control your space my fellow longhorns. Saturday may have similar problems as the weeks prior but they won and in 2026 that’s not a guarantee. Hookem everybody and i hope the team can make less mistakes this week! 2 1 Quote

Oh buddy, you don't know pain... 😆😆😆 One day, maybe you'll appreciate why Texas football is joyless, and it has nothing to do with how otherwise empty your life is or money. This insane loyalty runs just THAT deep. Now, I can be happy when we win and sad for a min when we lose when it comes to Texas basketball. That part of my life is normal. Football... 1 Quote

Unfortunately, the same exact things that almost cost you the game against Tennessee, and did cost you the games against OU and Florida, happened again. First, an insane amount of penalties. I know people hated the refs and I disagree obviously with the false start and also the PI where their receiver initiated contact and then fell over intentionally. The rest of the penalties were earned, the one on Lance and Ian was also initiated by Ole Miss player, but it's pretty known that refs only catch the retaliation. No consequences, no accountability. Second, special teams. Fake punt, shocking. Onside kick given up AGAIN. Multiple penalties from kids who have not earned and sure as hell shouldn't feel comfortable enough to think it's okay to do the stupid things they did. No consequences, no accountability. Third, Arch's turnovers. I don't think the strip sack was on him. Without that, he had two interceptions. One of them was late and inside (for like the 100th time). The other was clearly him not seeing the field well. Two weeks in a row where the safety turns his hips and Arch thinks that safety just doesn't exist anymore. Fourth, some bad play calls from Sark (3rd and 2 call that I had hoped would be retired after 2024 Ohio State). He is clearly pushing to make Cam Coleman a deep threat when it has been made blatantly obvious that he does not have the ability to catch the ball running full speed over his shoulder. Offense still gave the other team a touchdown. Should have given them more points with the first interception but the defense bailed Arch out big time. Defense bailed them out by getting a stop after the 4th quarter interception by Arch also. A true change was the ability to run, like against Ohio State. The other change was the defense had a first half that was the best they have had all season, better than the second half of Ohio State because they saved points on the interception. The defense made 2 of Arch's 3 potentially disastrous turnovers not matter. Arch is getting WAY too many flowers for having a very, very average performance where he put the team at risk again. I know he had the two big passes (shout out Cam Coleman) and the big third down run. Other than that, he didn't do anything that every D1 quarterback should be able to do. Too many mistakes, no consequences, no accountability. Sark and Arch owe Will Muschamp, Justin Cryer, Rasheem Biles, Jelani McDonald and Alex January a bunch of money for saving the team on Saturday. LUCKY to get away with a win, not because Ole Miss was the better team but because you tried to give the game away, again. Lucky the defense you were playing against is garbage. Congrats, you scored 34 points on an Ole Miss defense that is terrible (gave up 38 to Louisville and 52 to Florida). You scored 7 for them, so you really only had a net of 27. Knowing Sark and this team, the win and point total will mean that nobody has to answer for their bad plays/decisions/discipline. I am pretty sure Bobby said Arch was one of several problems. I completely agree on Arch and the numbers show that. However at least we got two quarters instead of one. Some want to count the fourth quarter, problem with that is it was all running the ball. Have no idea who shows up Saturday. Quote

Enjoy the win dude, thats all that matters. 2 Quote
