For those wondering, in 1982 he had a total of 22.5 sacks and 40.5 for his career at UT, with most of these coming his Jr. and Sr. years.  Great defensive edge for UT.

In the 3 and done day I can't see it being broken.

 

Only possible way I think is with the CFB schedule including playoffs 16-17 games MAYBE.

His career record could be broken IMO especially with the above mentioned scenario for the single season.
