goattalk100
Saw this on the live stream from the other day & think it’s a fun exercise. Who is the best player you played against in high school? Focus is football but would love to hear some basketball & baseball shout outs too!

Texas fan in Georgia
Best I played against was without a doubt roquan smith. We beat Macon county his junior year. He also played a little tight end in high school. best player I’ve played with was a guy named Tra minter. Started all 4 years of high school and ran for I believe over 4,000 yards in his high school career. Grades wasn’t up to par so he went juco before transferring to south Alabama .
Rucker Norris
Holton Hill or JW Ketchum from Lamar. Holton juked one of my buddies so bad on a punt return TD that he tore his MCL, LCL, and ACL

From a post high school success standpoint: Emmanuel Sanders(Bellville) From a talent standpoint but for whatever reason it didn't work out: Derek Evans(Cameron Yoe) Edited June 20 by Hashtag

To answer my own question here, I actually played basketball & that was my main sport. Parents weren’t too keen on the football thing. I’m also from NY so football takes a back seat to basketball here. So this is one for @Gerry Hamilton in particular. But the best I’ve seen was in an AAU tourney in high school. I was actually injured at the time so thankfully I didn’t play in this game lol. Mo Bamba & Hamidou Diallo’s team. Bamba was impossible to score against because floaters were never high enough & back then he was so mobile before he put the extra muscle weight on. They played a 1-3-1 zone the whole game & I believe won by like 60.

syracusehorn
I played soccer against a guy named Henry Neal, who set the national HS 100m time of 10.15 in 1990. That record stood until 2019. Never faced anyone else in any sport who had that kind of speed.
Dalon Getwood
Little league? Roschon Middle School? Calvin Tyler High School? John Emery in a loss ran for 200 yards on us with a broken wrist but Travis Etienne was ridiculous his team was just bad
Moderators CJ Vogel Posted June 20 Moderators Share Posted June 20 Dallas Jesuit had a LHP in 2016 named Kyle Muller, I believe at one point was expected to go to Texas, who was the best pitcher I ever face. Was picked 27th by the Braves and was the A’s opening day starter last year. Faced him in a preseason tournament my senior season. He started with 5 straight K’s then threw me a change and I grounded out to short. Contact nonetheless, but he was incredible. Added a 400+ foot homer that game as well

I know it’s becoming more normal now for high school but 10.1 speed in 1990 is unbelievable
