Edwin Simmons 1983 against the criminals is better than Shipley 2008 against the criminal interlopers.

For the Youngs on the thread.........  Edwin Simmons was incredible talent.  Incredible.......... It is such a shame for someone to waste their God given talent.   All of us Olds know the story, but what a shame.

One of my first memories of Texas football was hearing about Edwin Simmons walking around naked in the middle of the night in someone's backyard.

Oh what could have been for Edwin Simmons and Marcus Dupree...

Last I recall, Simmons was selling Pontiacs in Austin and Dupree was driving 18-wheelers back in his hometown of Philadelphia, Mississippi.

Lots of memories there..saw Shay Holle's Dad Eric for a moment.

This game was before the greed settled in and the Longhorn Band sat at the 20 yard line in the stands... before they were forced to move to folding chairs at field level in the north end zone.

That game is really special when both teams are in the Top 10.
