Moderators CJ Vogel Posted August 18, 2024 Moderators Posted August 18, 2024 2025 five-star OT Michael Fasusi has tweeted out his specific time frame for his announcement coming August 21. The Lewisville star will hold a ceremony at Lewisville HS and make his commitment at 3 pm. I still lean towards Oklahoma having the edge here going into the week of the decision. 3 Quote
Jbro52 Posted August 18, 2024 Posted August 18, 2024 I agree CJ seems like the pick will be OU 1 Quote

I am going to sleep through this one. I have already filed it in the IDGAF drawer. 3 Quote
Guest Posted August 18, 2024 Posted August 18, 2024 OU straight up beat Texas for Fasusi. Yes, Texas does have a more difficult road to early playing time on the OL than Oklahoma, hence, one of the perceived weaknesses of the 24-25 OU squad this season, but Texas got beat in this recruitment. It's disappointing, but even Georgia and Ohio St lose some recruitments, exhibit A: the No. 1 OT who just committed to Tennessee yesterday. Quote

ERShorn Posted August 18, 2024 Posted August 18, 2024 Honestly not even paying much attention to this one. Quite obvious it’s not Texas. Would love to be wrong 2 1 Quote

It’s that simple. 1 1 Quote
Jerky Posted August 18, 2024 Posted August 18, 2024 Texas doesn't have obvious early playing time at OT to offer anymore. Should Texas pledge to rotate Fasusi on the OL early provided he has earned snaps in the off-season in an effort to entice Fasusi? Would that make a difference in his recruitment? 1 Quote

watty7796 Posted August 18, 2024 Posted August 18, 2024 Hopefully Texas can make a late push and get him in the boat. Quote
Jerky Posted August 19, 2024 Posted August 19, 2024 Bobby on OTF just said Flood wanting to rotate more OL this season. We may have more trusted OL than in past years. Hoping our 2nd group can provide quality depth and quality snaps. Doubt it moves the needle with Fasusi this summer, but getting more young players game snaps is a positive for early development and future recruiting. Season may last a few games more than in the past so all the more reason to build more quality depth. Quote
