Moderators CJ Vogel Posted February 8, 2024 Moderators Posted February 8, 2024 Former Texas analyst and TCU head coach Gary Patterson has found a new home in the state of Texas — Waco. Patterson has been hired by Baylor HC Dave Aranda to join the program as a senior level consultant. Quite the conundrum for both fan bases as both have a long history rooting for and against Patterson in the TCU-Baylor rivalry. View full news 1 1 Quote
TexasLonghorns Posted February 8, 2024 Posted February 8, 2024 As he was for Texas, that’s a great addition for Aranda and Baylor. 2 Quote

cafe society Posted February 8, 2024 Posted February 8, 2024 The Revenge Tour continues. I doubt GP is a head coach in-waiting at Baylor. It's a much easier commute to Fort Worth (which the Pattersons truly love) from Waco than Austin. Just watch the fur fly if SMU opens up, though. That would be the ultimate middle finger to TCU and he might be able to get the old band back together. 1 Quote
Realist Horn Posted February 8, 2024 Posted February 8, 2024 maybe he's closer to D/FW so its not as taxing on his family life? Assuming he's still working long hours... Quote
David Edwards Posted February 8, 2024 Posted February 8, 2024 He can be the interim when they le Aranda go mid season. Quote
Burntcowboy Posted February 8, 2024 Posted February 8, 2024 At least we won’t have to play them in the near future. He has definitely been a thorn in our side Quote

CoachBobbyFinstock Posted February 9, 2024 Posted February 9, 2024 Honestly I’m kinda jealous of Baylor getting Patterson. Wish Texas still had him. 2 Quote
