cdibbs
Looking at A&M and Arkansas offense, I think Arkansas clearly is a better offensive team. Especially with Moss out for the year for A&M. I'm confident in the Texas defense to hold A&M under 20. I think it comes down to the offense. If we can scheme up and execute well enough to get at least 3 TDs, I like our chances. Handle business vs Kentucky and then trust Sark to scheme Quinn up to have a legacy game vs A&M. I think he delivers and we are headed to Atlanta 🤘
NothinButDaHorns34
A&M puts zero fear into my heart. I may eat my words, But i think we go in there and win comfortably.

Their defense especially their line is scary just because of what has happened against lesser teams (Arkansas and Vandy) to disrupt and shake Quinn with pressure. Plus the crazy environment that Kyle Field will be is going to be really really hard for us to execute IMO. That, and Satk does struggle more against defensive head coaches more than others. I hope you’re right!!
syracusehorn
I think their defense generating points off turnovers is the biggest factor. Our defense can handle their offense, but if they generate pressure on Quinn it will be tough sledding.
cmk4pres
While stats wise I agree, this will be '99 bonfire game on massive steroids. Most important game in my lifetime and I have been to a lot of them in 80's, 90's and 00's. this will be an entire different animal with sec champ game, CFP on the line among everything else. I hope you’re right!! As crappy as our offense seems to us it’s still somehow top 10 in two national statistics. We just need our defense to show up (which they’ve proven they will), sark to scheme it up as he usually does and we’ll be good. What I 'fear' (loosely speaking) is that they will pressure us with their front four and blitz LBs like Georgia did (though obviously with lesser talent). If our RBs can pick up the blitz and our OL can figure out the stunts we'll probably be OK but if Quinn panics and turns it over a couple of times, or if our OL gets jumpy or handsy and draws penalties and we keep giving A&M short fields either from turnovers or punts from deep in our own territory then they can beat us. I don't think they can beat us if they have to drive 70 yards to score, but if they keep getting the ball inside the 50 then sooner or later they'll scratch out some points. They have some studs on the DL and you know Tickle Me is going to send the pressure. How Quinn handles it could be the biggest key.
Bonaparte
If Texas loses to A&M it will not be our defenses fault.
Moderators Gerry Hamilton Posted Monday at 12:42 PM Moderators Share Posted Monday at 12:42 PM A&M's OL is playing at a higher level than Arkansas. They are playing a physical brand of football up front. Arky RT makes their OL considerably worse. A&M is much better at TE (future pro). A&M's offense doesn't have the pressure to score a lot of points to win every game. But ... the UT vs Aggy game will come down to A&M's ability to create pressure with their front, and how Quinn reacts to it. That's going to be the whole enchilada IMO. 2
Thanos72
Arkansas gave us a pass not committing to the run. While I don’t think their ol are world beaters, Elko believes in his defense so he will make us prove we can stop the run game. We weren’t nearly as sound this past Saturday as we were vs Vanderbilt in our edge play and tackling. We’ll need to be that weekend. I do think we win pretty confidently if we just play soundly on both sides. I think their offense and dl have to play at to their ceilings for them to have a real chance. I like that gap. Yeah, QE is the variable every game because we just don’t know what we’ll get from him.

I was at that game too. We should have won. I'm nervous the same thing could happen this time around as well if we don't clean up the offense. My aggy friends kept going on about how the wrecking crew was too stout for us, but really it was our offense that struggled with Simms and then a sick Applewhite.

Thanos72
This is so silly @Burnt Orange Horn Hopefully, disingenuous for your sake. Talking mechanics, pocket awareness, and footwork not game plans. You’ll be okay. It’s okay to point out flaws and root for your qb. Pretending he is on track is why we are serious candidates for 1 and done if we even make the playoffs. Arch must really not be ready to not even garner a look see from Sark. Hopefully they are game planning for another 3 pt lead going into the 4th quarter against another overmatched team. Some of y’all are too in your feels. 3 isn’t playing consistently and certainly not at a playoff run level. How does it help you to lie to yourselves? That’s very aggie like. Good grief.
