2026 Mount Miguel (Calif.) ATH Brandon Arrington Jr. tells OTF he has been in contact recently with the Texas staff.

Arrington is one of the fastest players in the class of 2026, with verified 10.47 speed out on the west coast and is currently ranked inside the top-30 national players per the 247Sports Composite rankings.

At 6-foot-2-inches, Arrington has played both wide receiver and cornerback this season and now sits north of 30 offers since his recruitment began. This will be a recruitment to monitor towards the months of January and February as the focus switches over to the next cycle.

IIRC he has already visited A&M multiple times and they seem to be near the top of his recruitment. Hope we're not playing from too far behind them on this one.

A&M is one of the top schools at the moment, yes. USC in the mix as well.

He's a stud prospect for sure.

Arrington and the 2026 CB RJ Sermons (should be a 5-star IMO) are elite prospects

Was pretty disappointing not seeing Texas even in Sermons’ top 10. Thought we would be.

Ran 10.27 prelim in May at state. I've been wondering since the summer if his offer would pick up steam. USC is after him, but I'd tout UT track's accomplishments in the Olympics and someone like Marquise Goodwin being a track and football star for Texas.

USC track record is better than Texas.
