@CJ Vogel Not specific to Petitbon, but would Texas consider a more experienced center for next season? Granted transfers on the O-line aren't a big interest, but is a center with seniority like Majors a good 1 year bridge for the younger upcoming line or is Coach Flood 100% good with who he has now?

Same thoughts for a backup QB. I know it's not a consideration, but would a solid SEC grad transfer be a good "break in case of emergency"? Trey Owens is great but is his one year a strong foundation if needed for an SEC game or two or even second half start? *knocks on every tree and wood table nearby*

It could be, but if we haven't see a portal addition at OL yet, I don't think they will go that route. Texas loves Daniel Cruz. Cole Hutson has worked at the C spot for three years off and on. And Connor Robertson has the most snaps of all at C when he played last year against OU.

They like their group on the OL room and the cross training has allowed for much versatility as a result.

Also, most of these established OL aren't transferring to a school with this level of depth or competition in the OL room. They want a spot at a higher level, but one that is guaranteed to them. Not one that is going to be a battle all the way to week one and that's what it would be at Texas.

Ok. Even Mel needs to can it with the transfer talk. If Spencer Rattler is starting for the Saints on a Monday night, Quinn can get drafted in a later round this April and be just fine to develop behind a veteran.

Looking at the league right now, there aren't a lot of teams with an aging starting QB..except for the Jets, Dallas, Detroit, and the Rams. Arizona, Tennessee, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, Miami, KC could probably use a good young 3rd QB though. Giants..need a miracle, worst place for a rookie to step in.

His point is not without merit. The next 4 games (potentially) will determine Quinn's legacy.

I’d like to see him land with the Rams or Dolphins.

No on both.
