dentonhorn
Not sure what the NFL would expect based off of this season with Sark. It’s not like we have an offense that is totally unstoppable, and that is supposed to be his forte. Play calling is not been on the genius level oft heard. Great recruiter which doesn’t help you a ton at the NFL level. Perfect for college , another guy in the NFL. 2

AusMOJO
Imo, the NFL game isn't that interesting these days but If he wanted to go, it would suck for our program but I'd wish him all the best and hope he succeeds. His revival of Texas Football has been amazing. I hope we continue to keep him in Austin for many, many years to come. The bigger question would be, who do you replace him with? Do we want to get into that hypothetical discussion?

He’s only whiffed on one HC hire since he’s been UT’s AD, and I expect him to correct course quickly. Gotta enjoy the ride while it lasts when it comes to the Sark era at UT.

It's not just CDC though, the whole department and leadership at Texas has done an excellent job of turning things around. But I agree with your sentiment.
jake_don
There is a chance that Sark leaves for the NFL at some point and we were made aware of that early on in his tenure at Texas. However, he is NOT leaving before Arch leaves Texas which is at least two more years. By then, who knows what kind of regulations are put in place to tame the Wild West world of CFB that we are in today. That might change things….. just my two cents.
David Latiolais
How much does recruiting burn you out. If it becomes painful, then he could easily go to the NFL. If he like doing it he will stay at Texas.

Have to think Sark has an incredible thing going here and wouldn’t want to leave. But NFL is king. Anyone hear if this is all just media being media? Media being Media. Same as the Quinn Ewers portal watch.🤦🏿♂️🤘🏿

Saban and Carroll are his mentors. Did that...seen what it can be..good and bad. Look where he came back to, where he actually had to step down to come up. He was the OC for a Superbowl runner up...and left to be a special assistant to Nick.🤷🏿♂️🤘🏿 Edited Monday at 05:47 AM by 817 Boxing B 🤘🏿
FootLaw
22 hours ago, Red Five said: Wouldn't it be more surprising if there wasn't interest? This is the correct answer. There has been, and will continue to be, interest from the NFL. Sark likes college football and he won't leave Arch (would burn his reputation with elite QBs should he come back to college like Saban). If the NIL and portal issues do not get fixed by the time Arch leaves, I could see this as a more real possibility.
Bevo92
Sark building his legacy at UT to be on our Mount Rushmore of greatest coaches ever with Arch on deck and #1 ranked class. Next several years look to be special. Jimmy Sexton is sure to leverage this year’s result plus NFL threat into some new upgrades for Sark (eg additional investments into expanded staff, etc) plus new perks in his package (eg new vacation homes in Turks and Telluride) plus more cash guaranteed on his contract after 2 semi-final appearances. As others have said, Sark has control over every aspect of his horns. I hope he’s at UT at least another 3 years. Hook em!!
