NancyS Posted January 17 Posted January 17 I'm interested in everyone's thoughts on the upcoming National Championship Game on Monday night. Who do you think wins? Who are you pulling for? As for me, those are two different things. I think Ohio State wins but I'll be cheering for underdog Notre Dame. I know that a TOSU win would make the Texas loss to them look better. I just can not make myself pull for Ohio State. I despise them. I think it's going to be a close game. Notre Dame just seems to find a way to win. What are your thoughts? 8 Quote

I guess I’m pulling for the Buckeyes…just because I don’t know if I can handle the swooning that would happen if Notre dame won. Plus it would give them validation for being a stupid independent and not having to play by conference rules like everyone else. 2 Quote

SB21 Posted January 17 Posted January 17 I just can’t see Riley Leonard of all QBs be the one to lead a team to the ship…. Especially against a defense like Ohio state. So regardless if ND defends well against OSU I just don’t see ND scoring enough to win. I also would hate to see OSU and Ryan Day/Chip Kelly win one but it is what it is since we didn’t beat them. 1 Quote

Sanka Decaf Posted January 18 Posted January 18 I don't see how ND matches up as well against Ohio State as Texas does. I'm with Nancy - think Ohio State rolls but can't root for them. My Dad's a big ND fan, so that's where I'll go, but thinking it ends up 38-14. 1 Quote

BurntOrangeMD Posted January 18 Posted January 18 ND had a cupcake schedule over the course of the season, so that could favor them. ...and maybe it could help Texas on the recruiting trail if ohio st loses. However, I believe ohio st will win easily, 35 to 6. It will probably be a pretty boring Natty game, and be over by the second quarter. I look forward to the Texas Longhorns beating the hell out of ohio st next fall! Like 2024 and 2025, Texas will have the potential to go all the way. Hook'em! 1 Quote
