Migas & Fajitas Posted January 19 Posted January 19 Randomly met Bobby about 10-12 years ago in New Orleans, during Mardi Gras season. (Of all places). We enjoyed several days of parades along Canal St together. Grizzly bear of a guy. And a gentle giant. Fond memory. RIP Bobby. 4 Quote

Waxahorn Posted January 20 Posted January 20 A true Longhorn legend. A gentle man that played football like a man possessed. Quote
.45s Posted January 20 Posted January 20 RIP. I knew his younger brother from baseball and football in high school and got to meet Bobby once. I was shocked to see what an offensive lineman in college looked like and he was not one of the bigger ones. His neck was twice the size of mine and his thighs made made mine look puny. Quote

Burnt Orange Horn Posted January 25 Posted January 25 Totally missed this. I saw the 68 and 69 and 70 teams a lot. I was just thinking that Bobby needs to get Bill Bradley and Ted Koy on the show before it is too late. I wonder if Duke Carlisle would appear? Those 60s teams set the standard for Texas football. 2 Quote

Great idea! While we're at it, let's get Brooks Kieschnick on to discuss the baseball team. Since Bobby added Jeff Howe to the team, the collective knowledge of Longhorn history/tradition on the board/channel is really impressive. It would be cool if they leaned into that. 1 Quote
