I do not think it is fair to assume that Texas will become a BIG $$ player with hoops NIL.  It could happen, but it has not happened yet.

And that might be a stumbling block in any search process.

I am especially interested in the thoughts of those of you who have been close to the program [I was, in the oughts, but not now].

It’s been this way forever. I will believe it when it actually happens. It will be a most welcome surprise.

Who would’ve thunk OU and Texas both would’ve had to replace their head men’s basketball coaches in the same offseason?

Yeah, that hasn't happened since WAY back in

the spring of 2021.

Question: You guys struggled to score from the 10-minute mark on in the second half. Was there anything Vanderbilt did specifically, or was that more of you guys shots just not really following?

Rodney Terry: I think we had some opportunities right around the basket. We also had some free throw opportunities as well. So wasn't a matter them stopping us. We had some opportunities and we don't make shots, so you don't get any points, you know. So, we had looks and good looks.

That is a rough statement to make, especially for all the flak he has caught for their lack of creativity offensively.

True, but it was also the stretch in which Johnson blocked himself with the rim and Kent went 1/4 from the line on a single trip down the floor in which we twice got offensive rebounds.

My main take away from the post game comments was his recognition we were bullied inside on defense.

Two straight losses but they were due to different sort of weaknesses.  We kept going inside to no avail against Arky but held them to 3 offensive rebounds.  Vandy got 17 offensive rebounds.

Now we have Alabama coming in with a team that torched Arky inside.  No bueno.

A lot of the OREB issues against Vandy stem from poor slide down rotations when the "Big" has to help on a driver.

They are so slow doing that. Some of them don’t even look like they’re going all out.

Funny how a coach wins support after a couple of 15 point wins over a bubble and a team that came off two wins over teams in the field.

Let's see if he keeps the support after the 4 game stretch of two road games against bubble teams and two home games against tourney certs.

Indiana men’s basketball = Nebraska football.  Bobby Knight = Tom Osborne.

We differ on this a little. Indiana will be a top 3-4 NIL college hoops program ... they are set up to truly compete with the correct HC.

Interested to see where it goes
