The financial disparity (and contrast in design quality) is mind boggling.   Texas’ 15yr agreement with Nike in 2015 set a new record high mark at that time, valued at $250m for 15 yrs.   Nike’s  apparel / shoe / uniform designs are second to none.   First class.

Looking at other top apparel deals from the past 15 yrs and UT is still at the top.    Impressive.   Only Ohio State and UCLA are in the same vicinity and a few others are close but not A&M, lol.

By contrast over in College Station, A&M inked a new 5yr extension last year to remain with Adidas for $47m.   Yes, you read that correctly.  Students, athletes, most everyone  who calls themselves an Aggie are pissed at the embarrassing results from Adidas, including the amateur uniform designs.   The latest men’s basketball jersey may set a new low standard.   Is this a joke?  LMFAO. 🤣

But it does keep them as the only Adidas school in the SEC along with the juggernaut that is Mississippi State. The extension is paying them more than the prior 15 year contract.

I love this quote about A&M’s new MBB uniform design:

“I’m dead serious when I say this:   This is the single worst uniform I’ve ever seen in any college or professional sport”

“0 out of 10”

Maybe A&M had to compromise after pressing Adidas for more money for the deal, by agreeing to remove the “exes A&M” from the front of the jersey.

This article is funny and provides a bit more context behind the terrible design.

Headline reads:

“Something a 2-Year-Old Would Design”: Calls Mount Against Adidas for Making John Calipari’s SEC Rivals a Laughing Stock

A&M's men's basketball team is much better than the Horns. Apparel deals don't change that.

"much better"? Much better teams don't blow 22 point leads.

The Longhorns are a bubble team and A&M is sitting at a two seed. There's a reason for that.

Ok, they are a "better team". Rankings aside, much better teams never lose games like that to average teams. Texas is not even a bubble team.

It's basketball, not football. More games, more variation. I wish the Longhorns were better, but they aren't.

They somehow looked worse on TV than they do in pictures. I was flabbergasted yesterday.

Agree.   And that’s tough to imagine. lol.
