cmk4pres Posted Monday at 03:47 PM Posted Monday at 03:47 PM These polls aren't worth being toilet paper Quote
Bobby_Batronic Posted Monday at 04:04 PM Posted Monday at 04:04 PM I liked that new near side armed delivery by Duplantier. That could be nasty if he really grows into it. 3 Quote

texcoyote15 Posted Monday at 06:02 PM Posted Monday at 06:02 PM What happened to Bing? I didn’t see the first inning or so Quote
texcoyote15 Posted Monday at 06:10 PM Posted Monday at 06:10 PM 8 walks for the pitching and 13 K’s by our hitters, so Schloss was right that they are a work in progress. I like being able to get the win when you know you can play better. Like Schloss said we aren’t playing some random team from up North that still has snow on the ground………these we very quality teams and we come out 2-1 and could have easily been 3-0. 1 Quote
Tuco Ramirez Posted Monday at 06:37 PM Posted Monday at 06:37 PM There’s a fairly significant disparity between the polls. 1 Quote
cmk4pres Posted Monday at 06:47 PM Posted Monday at 06:47 PM In Schloss I trust so let's get that out there. need to find a leadoff guy so Kimble can hit behind Belyeu. max needs to hit 3. Love ARod at 2. I would bat Kimble 4, Flores than Will G. Would be nice if Faremr or Winfield was the guy to leadoff Quote
Jerry K Posted Monday at 08:49 PM Posted Monday at 08:49 PM I sure enjoyed seeing our new coach and staff that in that dugout. They have some hard work ahead and the issues won’t get fixed fast enough but it’s a lot easier to have confidence in this staff that issues will get addressed than the previous staff. 1 Quote

Hoping the bad weather stays away Dang that’s a deal! Right now I’m seeing the bitterly cold wind rolling in 8 pm-ish. Obviously that could change. It’s not always possible but if it is I wouldn’t be surprised to see the start time moved up to 4 or 5 pm to avoid the weather. 1 Quote

The speed of his pitches was up there too and perhaps better than almost all of the other pitchers there. Moffett was not in long enough to get a feel for him as far as speed but for starting pitchers Spencer was one of the best. 1 Quote

I checked in today with a source and they said Bing will be just fine, however. Expect him on the mound again soon. 4 Quote

Would be nice if Faremr or Winfield was the guy to leadoff I agree that the ideal batting order is probably something different in the long run and does not seem to be quite ideal so far. But that may clear up more once the hitters settle in and Schloss gets a good feel for what everyone will do. Farmer and Winfield were not looking so good at the plate and need to get settled in. Kimble needs to do that to and Flores is struggling a bit so far. ARod struck out a lot the first two games but was great in the 3rd. He hits the ball hard. Belyeu looks better this year than last year. Will seems to have shortened his swing or done something with it and was much better at the plate as far as laying off of bad pitches and swinging at good pitches. Of course, they have only played three games so far. Mendoza made some flubs in the field and Farmer did too. Farmer either fell asleep or leaned too much and got picked off at first base and on a play in right he was nonchalant and allowed a runner to go to 3rd. So far, it is hard to tell if ARod will be a better third baseman than Powell because of the way he fields the ball, but the sample size is still small. ARod does have a really good arm. Quote
