Note on freshman Michael Terry III 

OnTexasFootball was told today that freshman versatile offensive athlete Michael Terry III has registered 22 mph during recent workouts at 214 pounds.

Terry III continues to workout at wide receiver, and will begin spring practice there. 

Long term, we shall see where Terry settles in at. Could be WR, RB and H-back ... to be determined

I wanted to see him at rb until I seen him standing next to Bijan but motioning into the pony package and hitting the wheel route will be deadly

Michael Terry III could matchup nightmare in Sarks offense. Add Nick Townsend with deep speedy WRs…

I've been hearing they want to run more power this year.  A 214 pound back running 22 mph would fit that bill perfectly.  Speed is important in power schemes.  

Having said that, it sounds like that boy needs to be on the field - ANYWHERE!

Unless they are just flat out special like a kelvin banks, I wouldn’t depend on a true freshman with the invention of the portal.

Texas definitely wants a WR out of the portal ... but it has to be a "dude"

Will be interesting long term where Terry ends up. Coaches don't truly know right now. 50-50 he sticks at WR.

At least while Moore is out try him at slot - he fits the physical model of a Sark slot who can block, catch, and run [Whitt+Moore].  Fits the heavy duty mold better than the slim guys,

It's not that we're lacking bodies. He's in a class with two other 5 star WRs.

Not sure about Worthy, but Bond hit 24mph and Golden hit 23mph at the combine.  22 is moving for a freshman at his size.

In-game speed - X was the fastest in 2023 at 22.7 mph in week 12.  And Jaydon Blue ran 22.3 mph in week 13, the fastest top speed for a RB in 2023. These times are slightly slower than combine numbers since they're wearing pads etc and not running on a track.
