Kentucky is such a weak 3-seed and they're always just disastrous in March. Illinois is probably a tougher matchup than Kentucky.

Different coach.  Different sort of team.

I have no clue how North Carolina made the tournament. Probably the biggest miss.

AD at UNC is the Chair of the Selection Committee. Nothing to see here.

Has to be the reason. It's the only explanation.

Gauging the chat, if I set up an ESPN Tournament Challenge for OTF OG's would that be something of interest?

I can get it going in the next hour, if so.

Oh my goodness what a game in the first play-in game. That was heartbreaking. That was unbelievable.

Tremendous basketball.

It's market March madness. I wish goobers would stop obsessing over the Fed. Fed's doing its job. Very little to do with true market forces. Should raise the rate and squash any hint of inflation. Got nothing to do with Nvidia or the future of any market performance.

When we played at Hugh Springs and Avinger in summer league, they played "Basketball" by Kurtis Blow in the warm ups, even though the song was dated by that time. You couldn't dunk in pre-game in a regular high school game because they'd give you a tech for it. Summer league you could whatever. Guys were doing everything they could when that song played in summer league. I'd dribble bounce it off the floor for a 3/4 alley-oop dunk when that song was playing. Made a couple of Hugh Springs boys upset for some reason, even though they were dunking themselves.

The only 1 seed to get a truly favorable location the first weekend is Duke, of course.  It plays in Raleigh.  Florida also has to play in Raleigh against Norfolk State, a school just 150 miles away.  Not backyard for Norfolk State by any means, but far from friendly for Florida.

Alabama gets a first round game in Cleveland against a team from a little over 100 miles away.  But Cleveland hates all things Pittsburgh, so maybe Robert Morris from Moon Township won't get a bump.
