I remember watching the evening news on 10 November 1989. I was a freshman at Texas then, 17 years old. It was the day after the Berlin Wall fell. Reporters were in the oval office talking to President Bush and Secretary of State James Baker. The reporters were trying to get them to act excited and gloat over winning the Cold War. Bush and Baker wouldn't even raise an eyebrow. They just excoriated Bush for not showing more "emotion." At the time, I knew he couldn't do it and wondered what they were trying to accomplish. The Soviets still had nuclear weapons and it was an extremely volatile time. News people knew the deal, but they pushed just get a "story." Glad that's not happening now.

Colin Simmons has had a lot of high praise for what LaAllan Clark has done for him in his development as a player.

So lucky to have a dedicated EDGE coach on the staff now and it happens to be the best in the biz.  No more basic bull rushes and more development of a pass rushing bag

In regards to the starting rotation in the secondary, Taaffe says Akina’s desire to get the five best DBs on the field at any position drives each practice.

Goes back to Rod Baber’s point on versatility in the secondary.

Michael Taaffe says the Texas locker room is completely naive to the portal and other outside NIL conversations. Says no one is paying attention to situations like Nico Iamaleava.

Are you suggesting that we should not act excited and gloat about the state of OU's program because they may possess nuclear weapons?
