Meh, just clickbait. Texas top 5 but shouldn't be #1. If you just won the Natty, you should be #1 imo. But I don't put much stock in these.

They had players return for their senior year, so even if Texas recruited better 3 years ago, they have more returning (plus returning QB and RB).

People hold allar in such high regard, he has all the tools, but he doesn't have the it factor and hasn't put it all together.  Not a believer

I'm sorry, I think you read the list wrong. They have Texas at #1 and Penn State at #4? Unless I completely whiffed on the sarcasm here?

You seem to be looking at the On3 Andy Staples tweet, which does have Texas # 1, but the article in the opening post refers to USA Today's poll, which looks like this, with Texas behind both Big 10 schools ... (no sarcasm allowed)

No one really cares right now because after the opener it will sort itself out, at least for a week
