Deadhead_Horn Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago It was obviously deserved. They need to figure out their pitching situation and could use a bit more timely hitting. Stinks they are hitting a rut towards the end of the season, though. 2 Quote

Being outscored 42-17 in the last 6 conference games is not good, no matter how you spin it. Not to mention 39 strikeouts against Florida. Bats have to get hot. Max Belyeu will be a welcome addition for sure. 4 Quote
Moderators CJ Vogel Posted 4 hours ago Moderators Posted 4 hours ago Good chance to get the momentum back rolling this weekend. Need to take the series, no other way to put it in my eyes. 3 Quote
.45s Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago The overall offense is really in a slump right now and has not been lighting it up since conference play started. The team batting avg. in conf. is .245. What has helped is timely hitting in a lot of games, even if the hitting overall was not stellar. For example, in the game we won over Florida we only had 7 hits and fortunately 2 were homeruns. Also we only had 8 Ks in that game, which is below average for us. Pitching has also had a few issues lately (all the starters were lit up against Arkansas) and I heard that Riojas had the flu last week as well, but we have not been providing much run support either. TexasMDcoach Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Offense is a "between the ears" issue. Just need to see some success and get the confidence rolling again. Max coming back may be just what the doctor ordered. Quote
