HookemTexas Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago I wonder if Tech has become the new evil empire in softball overtaking ou. ou was hated (outside of Norman) because they were dominant, Tech is becoming the bad guy outside of Lubbock for trying to buy a championship. To their credit, Tech fans are owning it saying, tell your boosters to spend money. But their excuse of ou and Texas has been paying players for years holds no water with me. It's not like Texas has been a powerhouse. The Cat years were primarily because of a once in a lifetime pitcher and only once Coach White arrived did Texas make noise in the WCWS. ou on the other hand, possibly, but it's not hard to believe that a standout pitcher wouldn't want to transfer there knowing they have a good chance at a championship.
