Kendall Guervil and Valdin Sone remain scheduled to be in at DL. Always felt James Johnson was a long shot. Get two of Guervil, Cleveland, and Sone 1 Quote
Ace Recruiter Posted June 16 Posted June 16 We got the #1 class last year. No reason to lose faith in the staff now. I trust Sark & Co.. 2 Quote

Having to even say this to people on here is comical. Sark & staff have proven their worth here. I don’t believe heze kent will be a tight end two years from now, But letting sark & staff cook is all i can do. Quote
arghookem56 Posted June 16 Posted June 16 (edited) Lamar Brown canceled his OV to LSU. Guess he’s all A&M. Edited June 16 by arghookem56 1 Quote
TheContractor12 Posted June 16 Posted June 16 Damn, i understand him not coming back to Texas...Texas is out. But not taking a 7 minute(literally) walk to LSU is crazy. Aggies might have given him Bowman money. He might have to play OL and DL for Aggies. Unless its the usual under the table $ Aggies are known for. Quote
McCoyColt Posted June 16 Posted June 16 When will aggy learn that you can’t just buy recruits to have success in football. Culture and the desire to play at that university is more important than just strictly NIL 😂😂🫵🫵 1 Quote

TexasFanatic Posted June 16 Posted June 16 Lamar Brown is going to end up on UT and LSU (and likely others) during the season 3 Quote
hookemholds Posted June 16 Posted June 16 If sark REALLY wants him, I’d be suprised if he doesn’t end up a longhorn. We’ll see what happens, but I do really hope we land him by signing day. Quote

Sometimes (in A&M’s case all the time) it’s not worth breaking the bank on a recruit like that. 4 Quote

I believe if contracts are written before July 1st you can throw out all “pay for play” deal that doesn’t have to adhere to the house settlement. If that is the case A$M may have offered him too good of package to pass up. Quote

Multi millions out of HS for someone who has never had anything is big signing money, period. If they make nfl that’s just icing on the cake and an extra slice 1 Quote

Close to half of all five star recruits aren't even drafted into the NFL and some of those drafted are taken in the later rounds, where the guaranteed money is relatively paltry. What is Quinn's deal with the Dolphins worth? I can remember a couple of # 1 overall recruits who didn't even make it to the league. Once an NIL deal goes much over say $2 million you're talking about real money. 2 Quote

When NFL fixed adjusted salaries for draft picks and nil came into play this is a whole new monster. You get a 3 year guarantee for 7.5 with incentives to hit 11-15 million like Mark Bowman it's a no brainer to sign. Life changing money. What NFL signing money? You need to hit a second contract sooner without open negotiations as a draft pick. 2 Quote

Still, it's life-changing money. These kids all think they're bound for the league, but the lucky ones will have adults explaining to them how even a cool million invested now can make a meaningful impact over time. 2 Quote
