People trying to question if they are “willing to play ball” is tiring. You can’t say you understand not wanting to overpay then turnaround and say but I kind of want them to overpay. Markets are ever evolving, look at basketball. Last years 5-6 million dollar rostes are now 8-10 million dollar rosters. Quote

Is it even loop holes? It seems more like swiss cheese full of holes. FMV is the most unprovable thing in all this NIL. Deloitte trying to limit NIL value arbitrarily is going to be met with law suits from the jump. SCOTUS already warned NCAA that they cannot limit NIL. 1 Quote

The OG’s around here oughta know by now, not to get their panties in a wad, kick the feet up, and relax until November. Same vibe last year, and I believe the 24’ cycle as well. Slow and steady, and by the time conference play starts, the class really starts to take shape. Hell, I thought last year Gerry might be a weed guy with his weekly “path to the #1 class” posts 😂 but obviously he knew way more than the rest of us True we have to wait until the season starts to see which teams will struggle and doubt sets in for some recruits. I think culture fit is 1A with Sark right below high-level athlete. Those are the ones he'll go big on NIL days before NSD. I don's see Texas falling out of the top 5 this recruiting cycle 1 Quote

You can pretty much do anything right now, the landscape is moving too quickly for any kind of normalcy to settle in. And with effectively no governing body, no actionable enforcement, who's going to object or block any school's strategy at this point? Even if they do, it will take longer to play out in the courts than the repercussions of the original action. So playing by the rules is effectively self-handicapping at this point... its kind of a joke, sadly... 🤘 Quote

We have giant nil offers to contend with now. Not sure why it is necessary to say that its relationships with Chad Scott or whatever. Kj Edwards doesn’t cancel his ov without incentive. Jalen Lott would be coached in an elite offense with an elite qb at Texas. there is no reason Texas should lose to USC with this legacy recruitment. USC is just throwing money at the elite kids and it’s producing commitments. Texas is doing great with some rooms but not well at others. They’ll end up with a great class I’m sure. Money talks.
