All kinds of intrigue here - can UH fend off competition - will Aggies (and their bragging rights obsessed fans) live it down if Casuga doesn't outperform a Houston product? Even if he is the right fit on the field, can they stomach Dia and Keisean on the '27 Dave Campbell cover? - on the other hand, kudos to A&M for attracting a product of a QB factory and sticking with him, if he pans out! And making plays under duress is what matters most as a QB, and you just can't replicate it. Recent winners (it's hit or miss to a certain extent) 2024 - Keelon Russell - Alabama 2023 - Julian Sayin - Ohio State 2022 - Jackson Arnold - OU/Auburn 2021 - Cade Klubnik - Clemson 2020 - Caleb Williams 2019 - CJ Stroud 2018 - Spencer Rattler 2017 - Justin Fields 2016 - Tua Tagovailoa 2015 - Shea Patterson - no NFL 2014 - Blake Barnett - no NFL 2013 - Sean White - no NFL 4 1 Quote

Rattler is probably the worst and even he showed some great stuff at one point. We’ll see on Jackson Arnold Quote
HookemHorns Posted yesterday at 12:14 AM Posted yesterday at 12:14 AM This doesn’t make me any more excited…because I was already a 10/10 on my excitement meter for Mr Dia Bell! I think he is as talented as Arch! The program is in great hands. All the consternation about losing a few recruits lately and I shrug and think “we nailed our QB eval and have the best QB prospect in the nation committed. That’s a heck of a floor” 1 Quote
HookemChappy Posted yesterday at 02:21 AM Posted yesterday at 02:21 AM Hey @Gerry Hamilton will this likely improve his 247 ranking? They have him as the #5 QB in the class. Quote

harveycmd Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Great manly stuff. Raja Bell v Kobe Bryant 2006. Quote
harveycmd Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Watched an interview with Chris Beard on an Ole Miss site yesterday. They asked him why he emphasizes the mid range game rather than making his players shoot nothing but "analytical" threes and lay-ups. He said the two greatest players of all time, MJ and Kobe, were greatest in the mid range. Quote
harveycmd Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Which takes me to nonsense talk. MJ and Kobe were skilled enough to score anywhere on the court from twenty-five feet and in. Brick gotta be within five or beyond twenty. Why? He lacks skill. Power, explosive, size. Not skill. Quote
harveycmd Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Remember watching The Good, the Bad and the Ugly with my dad around 1984 when I was twelve. We watched every week because it came on every week then. Dad loved Clint. So he'd stay up on Friday night to watch it with me because I asked him to watch it with me. Father served three tours in Vietnam. Reminded me of Rocky stuff then. Quote
