A good throwback moment for me to mentioning how the only way to get game film and highlights was to travel the state and get a DVD from the high school staff. I've got a few early 2010s DVDs of Longhorn recruits in a storage bin in my office. I'd dig them out, but I don't have a DVD player. Do you have Blu-Ray? Apologize if you already know this, but Blu-Ray players are compatible with DVD. Edited 6 hours ago by Gman2 Quote
Moderators Jeff Howe Posted 6 hours ago Author Moderators Posted 6 hours ago I hope Sark’s message got across in my running thread of his speech. It can be tough to convey emotion when you’re trying to capture every moment, but this was a great talk that provided a lot of insight on the culture Sark has fostered at Texas. 7 Quote

Did you record it by chance? 1 Quote

cochamps Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago (edited) A lot of Sark's message reminds me of an updated version of former UCLA basketball Caoch John Wooden, and his pyramid of success. Coach Wooden was a great communicator, who was able to get his meesage through to his (admitedly great) players. It is not surprising to me that Coach Sark is having similar success, which I think is still in it's early stages. Edited 5 hours ago by cochamps typo 1 Quote

He doesn’t run from his past, but it doesn’t define him either. There are few things in life as fulling as watching someone you love battle addiction, overcome it and grow from by becoming the best version of themselves. To that end, the version of Sark that Washington and USC hoped they’d get appears to be the one Texas has right now. 7 Quote
