Califashorn75 Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago (edited) I love the W. The girls are ballers, plus they get chippy and talk a lot of smack. I know a lot of folks probably don't like it, however, in a few years we will have Booker and Rori out there balling. I love our women's team and Coach Vic. The SEC is full of killer teams. They just kicked out a Valkyries player for rough play as I was writing this post. 😆 Edited 18 hours ago by Califashorn75 3 5 Quote

It’s great to see the league getting some publicity and providing a market post final Four for excellent basketball on the women’s side. Quote
Dread-headed Texan Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago This upcoming draft class is super talented so there's going to be even more eyes. Players like Hannah Hidalgo, Azziz Fudd, Awa Fam, Olivia Miller, Chloe Kitts, Lauren Betts... it's going to be awesome for the sport. I enjoy the W and what GSV has done in their first year is unheard of. I'm always going to wondering what if Kayla didn't get hurt. Quote

They have to rely on fundamentals and it's actually fun to watch. Two players that I always enjoyed watching were Oscar Robertson and Larry Bird. Two Indiana boys that were about as fundamentally sound as you can get. Women's basketball is different from the men but it does have it's merits. 2 1 Quote

I think it also has to do with them hemorrhaging money as a league but wanting to get paid more. They all failed math class 🤣 Quote

I don't, if the W is losing as much as they say then why are people lining up to own a franchise. The math ain't mathing. People forget how much money the NBA was losing for almost 40 years. It was so bad the games was on tape delay. By every metric the W is ahead of where the NBA was at this age. Tell me how there are teams out the with valuations up to 500 million can't turn a profit with TV deals increasing and the highest paid player in the league makes 252k a year? Somebody isn't being truthful about what they're taking in. Quote

All of our perspectives would be different if we had that much money to invest. It's been known for a while that the NBA eats the losses, and what TV deals are increasing lol. The stadiums are never full, the All-Star Game was empty, Women don't even watch the sport in full support. I see bigger crowds sometimes at the BIG 3 games. I'm almost positive the owners aren't losing money though, they probably have something worked out on the back end with the NBA owners that isn't open to the public. I watch all the women's sports in College and a lot professionally like Track and Field. I just don't get any entertainment from watching the W. Quote

Not true the All Star game was sold out all 16.8k seats. And if I had that kind of money my perspective wouldn't change at all. You know why? You write off loses when you own a business. How are you saying the stadiums are never full? Golden State, New York, Minnesota, Las Vegas, even a below average team like the Sparks sell out almost every game. If you don't enjoy the W cool, but a lot of what you're saying isn't true. Quote

Because these are the reasons it is physical. She gives as good as she gets. Actually they haven't really had a chance to beat up on her because she's out with a groin again and before that a groin and a thigh before that. She's played less than half the season. And none of her injuries were do to other players being physical with her. She came into the season with a groin injury. Quote

If your tuned in like that good for you, but my eyes don't lie to me. When I tune in on a regular Tuesday or Thursday or whatever its empty unless Clark is playing. And after 1 google search, it sold because of Clark. And after she dropped out they had to drop prices by 48% to sell them out. I wasn't coming on here to have a money debate because it's pointless. Neither one of us is paying them or getting paid by the owners. I simply said they are losing money and want more, nothing more nothing less. I'm irritated at myself that I replied this many times because I don't even watch it 🤣🤣🤣. I can remedy that though lol. Quote
