WWSchott Posted August 6 Posted August 6 Texas definitely seemed to do everything they could to land him but ofc they don’t all go in your favor. Based off the way he’s being talked about on OSU sites he will most likely contribute a ton this year. He seems like a future star and I can’t wait to watch his career play out. 1 1 Quote
hookemrj13 Posted August 6 Posted August 6 Is he a starter yet? I know he will be but will he play vs us? Quote

Texasborn91 Posted August 6 Posted August 6 Atkinson is the superior version of Pettijon. If we landed him I doubt we got the other 7 Quote
Trey Beathard Posted August 6 Posted August 6 I can't believe any kid passes up a Texas diploma or an Aggy ring for Columbus, Ohio. Do they even consider a job after football? 1 Quote

Glass Joe Posted August 6 Posted August 6 Duke Pettijohn got his kid a better deal than Texas was willing to offer. Enjoy Columbus! 2 Quote
hookemholds Posted August 6 Posted August 6 He was my fav recruit… hurts fs. But Atkinson fills the void, and Bo Barnes is no joke Quote
Shmatt Posted August 6 Posted August 6 Sucks but at least we reeled in Bo Barnes, some kids just like other schools and their pitches or NIL more. 2 Quote
smokeyiii Posted August 6 Posted August 6 As Bobby would say from the wise words of Mack Brown, "Worry about the guys on your roster and not the ones you lost. At most you will see the guys you lost once a year but they guys you have you'll see every day" 2 Quote

I know there's a football rivalry but Aggy is a great school and they do a great job of getting their kids jobs. If a kid is not going to play football at Texas or Stanford I can't imagine why they would go out of state when Aggy represents so many good opportunities. That is the truth, whether some of you like it or not. 1 Quote

I think you would take a scholarship at ND, Vandy, Duke, Michigan, Wake Forest, or UNC as well over one from Slurp, unless you want to be an engineer. 1 Quote

That doesn’t seem right. Quote

AusMOJO Posted August 7 Posted August 7 Pettijohn was a huge miss, but I think with Atinkinson in the '26 class, they more than made up for that. Both will be great players in college and likely in the NFL. Quote

Not sure what football has to do with it, but there are many schools I would recommend I kid go to for football before A&M. 1 Quote
