Moderators Blake Munroe Posted 13 hours ago Moderators Posted 13 hours ago We are down to 20 days until the Horns face the Buckeyes for the season opener. This would normally be the part where I ask “who is your favorite No. 20 to play for Texas?” Not today. Earl Campbell. And since YouTube isn’t embedding properly, here’s a link to his highlights at Texas… 8 mins worth: https://youtu.be/kQ9qqVa11k0?si=h5-SFmV-15Zrtoty 13 2 Quote

Waxahorn Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago The most unbelievable running back I have ever seen, the Tyler Rose. the GOAT. Courteous and humble in person. 2 Quote
bourbasted Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago EC's contact balance was off the charts. Bijan is the only one I've seen that could match it... BUT, Earl also had the power when he ran. Ricky's power + Bijan's contact balance = Earl Campbell. The best to ever do it, imho. 1 Quote

.45s Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Notice the title on the Sports Illustrated cover- "Texas' Earl Campbell Demolishes the Aggies". 🤣 My favorite Longhorn. I grew up in Houston and saw him play at UT and for the Oilers. He was so much fun to watch. He could run through people, over people, and out run people if he got the chance. Hall of Famer everywhere and at the top of the heap of Longhorn Legends. I think Gang Tackling was invented to stop Earl. 2 Quote
Huskie1 Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago #20 belongs to Earl. There is only one Earl Campbell. If you’re too young to remember him, YouTube some of him highlights and know that even those don’t reflect how good he was. Also a wonderful man who always stayed humble and grounded. love me some Earl 1 Quote
