EC's contact balance was off the charts.  Bijan is the only one I've seen that could match it... BUT, Earl also had the power when he ran.  Ricky's power + Bijan's contact balance = Earl Campbell.  The best to ever do it, imho.

My favorite Longhorn.  I grew up in Houston and saw him play at UT and for the Oilers. He was so much fun to watch.  He could run through people, over people, and out run people if he got the chance.  Hall of Famer everywhere and at the top of the heap of Longhorn Legends.  I think Gang Tackling was invented to stop Earl.

#20 belongs to Earl. There is only one Earl Campbell. If you’re too young to remember him, YouTube some of him highlights and know that even those don’t reflect how good he was. 
Also a wonderful man who always stayed humble and grounded.
