lol yeah, that is definitely a biased opinion. Wishful thinking comes to mind. I don’t think you will be booted- wishful thinking isn’t against the rules.

It’s also wishful thinking to think Ohio State’s defense will be better than the Texas defense Arch has faced for 2+ years. Texas’ defense has been better than Ohio State’s the last two years and tOSU lost what, 8 starters, on defense from last year?

If you think the Texas defense wasn’t better than Ohio State’s defense last year, please explain 1 catch for 3 yards by Jeremiah Smith.

Texas essentially had one busted play on defense that was the difference in the game, plus sack fumble Quinn. 
 

I will easily grant you that tOSU’s offense was better than Texas’ and the best in the country last year. But again, lost a lot of key starters. Y’all essentially had the #1 and #2 backs in the country last year. Will not be the case this year.

Ohio State’s offensive line will be as good or better than the one Collin Simmons & Anthony Hill Jr faced in the Cotton Bowl, for better or for worse. Simmons had 4 tackles and zero sacks or tackles for loss. I wouldn’t expect much different on 8/30 TBH. Ohio State should have one of the best offensive lines in CFB this season.

Also, Ohio State had the #1 D in the country last year, Texas may be #1 this season, but Ohio State will be 1B.

Yup, 100%. If Texas rattles him early it’s going to be very hard for Ohio State to move the ball.

tOSU is replacing 2 1st rounders on the OL and will be as good or better? Highly doubt it lol

Simmons was a part time player last year as a Freshman. 

I get your take though: all of tOSU’s first year starters will shock the world and all of Texas’ returning stars and first year starters will disappoint. 😂

It was said on the live that Julian is comparable to Quinn. I don't see that at all for a number of reasons, for instance, he's more athletic, his mechanics are sound, and he has a much stronger arm. If I were to compare to anyone it would be Alabama Tua.

Yep. People on here seem to be sleeping on the Ohio St OL. They will be good this year.

We all have our opinions.  That one is probably shared by most Ohio St fans.  Bias is real and unavoidable really.  It’s only my opinions that are pristine and unbiased 😉

They have 3 returning interior starters and two OTs that supposedly look pretty decent (really 3) according to their practice reports. I don’t think it’s a stretch to say that Ohio States OL will be “good”.  Which is all I described them as.

It reminds me of some recent year (Maybe first year Sark) when we all thought our DL was the strength of the team and going to be awesome only to learn during the season that they, in fact, were a bad DL that had been whooping up on an even worse OL in practices.  Turned out the practice reports were deceiving.

LT Donovan Jackson (a guard who never played tackle prior to kicking out due to injury)

LG Luke Montgomery (he will be starting LG on 8/30

C Carson Hinzman (he will be starting C on 8/30)

RT Josh Fryar (he graduated, was a 3* coming out of high school who was ok, but definitely the weak link on the OL)

LT on 8/30 will be Austin Siereveld who was the #1 IOL backup last season and beat out Ethan Onianwa for starting LT. Siereveld has been the talk of fall camp with his rapid ascension.

RT Phillip Daniels. He started the 2nd half of last season for Minnesota as a true freshman, he was huge in PJ Fleck’s future plans for his OL. He beat out Ethan Onianwa for RT and by all accounts has been dominant in fall camp.

I wouldn’t call it a reworked defensive line. They are all 4 experienced players who have been in the program. Ohio State’s starting DT’s should be dominant.

Sayin is accurate and seems to have decent pocket awareness. From a psychologically competitive point of view, he hasn't exactly shown much. As soon as Arch committed to Texas, he decided he didn't want to compete with Arch. Don't really blame him.  When Saban initially retired, Sayin didn't immediately hit the portal. He waited until DeBoer arrived and told Sayin that Austin Mack was coming from Washington to compete with Sayin. After that, Sayin transferred.
