Comparing this to previous years, this is further proof the talent gap between Texas and the top programs in college football is closing.  If you sort by player average, Texas is #2 on this list.  These rankings don't tell the entire story, but it is a testament to the job Sark and his staff have done turning this roster around since they arrived.  Just need to add some more hardware to the trophy case.

Since 2022 Texas hasn’t been out of the top 6.  We were 4th last year too.  Talent hasn’t been the issue, just need to get over the hump.

I agree, but if you sort that list by average, they are #2 behind Georgia.  That sounds about right.  What I find the most interesting about this list is two of the top picks to win the natty, Penn State and Clemson, are just inside the top 10.  They're going the Michigan route by trying to win with experienced rosters.
