O-line leadership

Where is the toughness and nastiness of this O-line and who is the leader? I expected Campbell to be more of an enforcer on the line or at least a leader. I just have not seen that and maybe it happens in practice, but it clearly isn't transferring to game day. I remember watching Banks be that guy when he was on the 40. Yesterday reminded me of a Herb Hand lead o-line.

Flood has been a bust.

My issue with flood is talent evaluation. How could he see these guys in practice over 2+ years and decide we needed to roll with them instead of filling in with portal additions?

It’s been so long since this program has had a Dan Neil / Casey Studdard type at interior OL we don’t even know what a mean nasty player at those positions looks like anymore. Flood’s big humans approach or whatever he and sark call it has been abysmal.

Nobody has played well enough to be a leader. On top of that, the issues up front are beyond leadership and want-to.

All of the fire and brimstone speeches in the world won’t change the fact that everybody took turns losing at the point of attack yesterday. It was an across-the-board failure of a performance.

If that's the case then this falls on Flood. He knew what he had and had the portal to find players, but opted to pick this group instead. I don't think he's had a dominant line since he's been at Texas and he's had some great talent.

I think the only thing that might infuse it but would actually be growing pains is roll with this kind of lineup

just go young across and maybe those guys play with more fire, athleticism, and leverage. I would say Neto at LG but he’s quit on this coach because of the coaches arrogance in playing an inferior Stroh. 
 

Do the same with the WR group.

They are a problem. Livingstone is our only play maker. Wingo can only catch balls thrown at him. He runs poor routes. 
 

mosely at this point is unknown. The fact that Niblett gets as many reps as he does is a problem. Either way they need to infuse more guys with play maker ability into the offense at receiver and again Wingo is not a play maker.
