And, most programs don’t consider his antics deal killers. Unlike, say, Art Briles.

Um, he didn’t win. Pretty much like most Raiders coaches this century.
 

And aged Al Davis was spinning through coaches late in his life. Sark even turned him down.

Maybe it’s just me, but I don’t buy the narrative that Lane elevated Ole Miss. At best, I think it was a 70/30 kind of deal.

Their teams have been extremely portal heavy and Lane has benefitted from an aggressive NIL splurge by Ole Miss during this period.

It takes two to tango and while I believe he’s a great offensive mind and good HC, I don’t think it’s fair to act like Ole Miss owes him anything (at least not after how this has all transpired). Ole Miss did their share in supplying him with the roster to compete.

It's tiresome that when we, as a staff, get notified about message board activity that could be considered out of bounds, it's the same handful of posters.

There are a select few posters who are souring the message board experience for everyone else. This isn't your Facebook page or social media account.

Please stop derailing threads with personal attacks.

A few of you are running the risk of losing your posting privileges, simply because you don't seem capable of conversing with others without resorting to personal insults or foul language.

I don't care who started it. Message each other off the board if you want to finish it.

Petrino is a really good play caller. I think Sark should kick the tires on him, but as you said, I don't think he will either.

I just hope he adjusts some things. Our philosophy doesn’t seem complementary or physical enough.

There definitely needs to be some self reflection and adjustments in the off-season though, agreed.

I could see him picking a clone like Day did this year with Hartline. But he’ll be active on the headset regardless.
