How has Sark been "more checked out" and "less committed" this year? Because we aren't playing well? That's a bunch of BS. I don't know how you can be "checked out" as a college coach working 18 hour days, traveling across the country to recruit on bye weeks, etc. I don't know the extent of the truth to the rumor but it's very evident people are getting too wound up about what was initially posted at the bottom of a long article in the Athletic.

This is not only a bad offense. He’s calling really bad place mind you we all are watching from our living rooms or some from the stands but it’s abysmal and the sheer fact that number 79 is in the rotation holy cow… If KyleFlood  has a job tomorrow shame on Sark.

If we’re being real, Sark is probably coming to the realization that he can’t be the coach he wants to be in college and win at the highest level. He’s always said he’s “obsessed” with the job, but the lack of attention to this roster in the offseason suggests a strong whiff of complacency. I think he’s probably realizing that he’s taken this program as far as he can. And if we’re being real, he probably has. I’m grateful for Sark—he brought this program back to near greatness. But we might need fresh blood to get to the promise land. Marcus Freeman is definitely the answer if we can get him.

I’ve said it for a while now, Sark has topped out as a college program builder.  He can take you from bad to good and even really good. But taking you from really good to great takes a special kind of coach, the kind that I don’t believe Sark is.

I would say first, it's very difficult to win a NC. And now in a real playoff its going to be harder than ever. 

So he got the Notre Dame head coaching job at 36 years old, and in three years had ND in the National Title game with zero previous head coaching experience. And he did it with tremendous coaching, and knowing who to hire. His teams play the right way for me. He's proving to be a very good evaluator and developer in his first college gig, and one with a lot of pressure. 

He's light years better as a HC early in his career vs. Sark IMO. Like not even close. 

I really believe he's built so well for current CFB and as a leader of a program for the next 9-10 years. Does that guarantee and NC? Not in todays day and age of headed to 16 team playoff and eventually probably 20-24 teams playoff years from now.

ND and and Freeman ain't nothing. This is crazy. Sark was scheming and winning titles when he was 30. Freeman never done nothing but wear tight shirts.
