Just finish watching condensed version on YouTube.  Glad to see this team fight,  but Mississippi state making so many mistakes giving us the opportunity to come back. This o line is sooooo bad. Didn't expect this unit to look like this coming into the season.

Didn’t our mistakes give Miss St their lead?

For me, the issues begin up front and continue with Arch's lack of consistency. Arch is showing signs of getting there, but he's not there yet. As for the offensive line, I'm expecting Texas to be aggressive in the transfer portal.

Extremely aggressive

A few longhorns had their potential legacy moments tonight too.
-Niblet will never be forgotten.
-Caldwell came in and won the game, saving the program from chaos.
-Emmett Mosley made his transfer a success.

I loved seeing Hill being able to rush the passer for what seems like the first time this year.

Yeah I don't really understand that, but I thought the front 7 was good today but the secondary did not match that. PK needs to go have a chat with Akina.

Sark is now 4-3 in OT at Texas in his tenure with at least 1 OT game each year.

56-57 L to Kansas in 2021

34-37 L to Texas Tech in 2022

33-30 W over Kansas State in 2023

19-22 L to Georgia in 2024 (SECCG)

39-31 W over Arizona State in 2024

16-13 W over Kentucky in 2025

45-38 W over Mississippi State in 2025

Without Taaffe they didn't really disguise anything because I don't think they knew what was coming. The value of players that do little things won't show up in modern day nerds analytical data but shows up in real time on the field is why we actually play the games. I can't wait for healthy Taaffeinator to be back out there.

I want to see where the next year and a half takes Mosley. Can see his career take off like a Mathew Golden’s

Are we sure they're going to go in the portal for OL?

Why does any team punt to Ryan Niblett? I'd kick that ball out of bounds every time. I don't know how a team can prepare for Texas and punt him that ball. He is a spectacular returner.

@Jeff Howe That game took good old fashioned grit. Everyone hates Texas. We get everyone’s best. The boys didn’t back down. The locker room is locked in. If we didn’t have a culture, we would have given up, would have been to easy to just not care. The boys didn’t, they fought it out.  I believe. Apart from my heart trouble now, glad to be a Longhorn fan. Hook ‘Em

We are just another team in the sec brother. This ain’t the big 12. Other teams care more about their rivals than Texas.

Sarkisian needs to call every game remaining like it is the 4th quarter of Miss St. he’s so much better as a play caller and moving the ball when he does that instead of trying to force his scheme on the team.

Interesting that the same OL looked like they did in the 4th vs the other 3 quarters when the playbook was simplified to quick hitters and spread out offense. It’s seemed like running easy concepts and blocking schemes allows the players to play more stuff.

Even with Taffee the back end concepts are meshing well with the front 7. Our situational alignments are also absolutely terrible. For example it is say 3rd and 3 and we have DBs playing 8-10 yards off receivers. That’s easy taking for offense. This same alignments and not knocking receivers off their timing doesn’t allow our front 7 to get home as often as they should be

The problem is that you can’t really draw up or script what Arch does in those moments. I agree with you that that is when this offense is their best but I don’t know how you recreate it on paper and call it

i do think that sark can draw up plays that move the pocket more. Arch seems to like to throw on the move and this OL does a decent job of moving the pocket
