Mark Weaver Swaim Codie Matas Thoughts? Swain has to guard Boozer a lot IMO They have so much length on the perimeter with skill … Mark Weaver Heide Swain Matas or Lassina … may be that game …. But think you have to build a rotation long term vs one game That starting lineup may be Mark Weaver Swain Codie Center 1 Quote

Moderators Gerry Hamilton Posted Wednesday at 09:40 PM Moderators Posted Wednesday at 09:40 PM BTW, a lot of the lineup talk will be if Texas hold Matas and Lassina out of the Duke game. I would say it's 50-50 as of today. Matas' ankle still has enough swelling that they may have to make a season is most important vs. one game decision. Lassina the same. Want him to be 110% when he returns to the court. 1 Quote
Sundancekid Posted Wednesday at 10:31 PM Posted Wednesday at 10:31 PM Makes sense Gerry. In Coach Miller we trust… until we turn on him. 1 Quote

DanielOnorato Posted yesterday at 03:03 AM Posted yesterday at 03:03 AM I think the highs and lows with Miller will be there early because these aren't all his guys yet. His players will love his honesty and once they adapt to his flow they have a much higher ceiling than any team they had lately thanks to his coaching ability and vision for the future. Let him build this thing organically within a flow, he has a lot of young Jim Calipari, Rick Pitino to him. He's due for a title by the time his career runs out. Great hire. Quote

AusMOJO Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago @Gerry Hamilton This might be a dumb question and I know Texas isn't a great basketball school/blue blood but how long do you think Coach Miller will take to build a successful program. Is it a 5-10 year process? Is sit shorter now with the portal/overseas players, etc. Not really expecting anything juts curious how long it takes to build the program up in basketball, as I'm less knowledgeable about basketball. Year three for me, maybe year two. Hard to say with the changing NIL landscape in college hoops 1 Quote
Sundancekid Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago What constitutes success? I haven’t noticed a lot of patience with coaches of late in any sport. How Shaka got five years I still don’t know. Quote

ATX16 Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Shaka was a great hire. Everyone had been offering him over the years and he finally said yes. To us. Didnt work out but great hire. Quote
Sundancekid Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago His record was much worse than Rodney Terry’s. Quote

No way in this age! A quick word of advice since you don't follow hoops. Watch the Duke game but plan for our series record to be 0-6. Between CFP/bowl games and baseball season, enjoy skiing. Watch a few hoops games vs top teams to read team temperature and build intetest. If we make the tourney (and that ought to be the floor for the coach) build at least 1 bracket with Texas winning a natty and wait for the year it finally pays off! 1 Quote

It’s frustrating starting with injuries again as well. Mark was hurt most of last year as was Weaver. Seems like it starts that way every year. I hope at least one is available for Duke. Quote
