Are you that clueless when it comes to football that the first instinct is to blame officiating?
 

So the hold kept our guys from doing their job in coverage and what they were hopefully coached to do?
 

Maybe…just maybe if they did their job in the back end there was no where to throw the ball regardless of them being held?

Taaffe can at least tell the younger guys to position correctly or which guy he needs to cover. Sometimes that 2-step shift is the difference between making the tackle or a TD. On that 75 yarder, the DBs clearly weren't talking.  A Taaffe can minimize that.
