awashbump Posted yesterday at 01:59 PM Posted yesterday at 01:59 PM Traylor has been might whiny lately. I think it's time for him to leave for Okie St. Then he can have more of a budget and stop complaining about it. 1 Quote
Sundancekid Posted yesterday at 02:05 PM Posted yesterday at 02:05 PM Did Pickens pass on? He used to dump buckets of money into Okie State. Quote
Drawls Posted yesterday at 02:27 PM Posted yesterday at 02:27 PM Pickens money is gone and look at their recruiting since. Not a good landing spot for a coach in the Big 12. Quote

Same will happen to sandy aggy once they stop getting Campbell's money. Though that pipeline will be available for a while. 1 Quote

Jeff Traylor isn’t criticizing other programs; rather, Traylor is focused on UTSA’s future. By joining a conference with schools that have substantial donor support—such as Memphis and USF—UTSA faces the challenge of increasing contributions to remain competitive. Without stepping up, the program risks falling behind other AAC teams. I agree with you that for Traylor to compete at a higher level, moving to a school like Oklahoma State or Arkansas, where the NIL budget is larger, might be necessary. 5 Quote

If UTSA will step up, he will stay 5 Quote
Moderators Jeff Howe Posted 18 hours ago Moderators Posted 18 hours ago When I saw that this was Dan Wolken quoting a post, I knew I had to dig deeper. Traylor is trying to get more resources allocated to the football program and Golesh is defending his program. I've got no problem with either coach in this situation. 4 Quote

AusMOJO Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago So, Traylor wants more investment for UTSA football to compete against these other teams and that is him being "salty"? Lol. Not sure what Golesh got upset about, nothing was really aimed at him or USF, in a bad light anyway. Seems like a non issue, both coaches just wanting the best for their program/players. Quote
horns96 Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago I have no idea how USF's coach took Traylor's comments as an insult to his players, but whatever works. Having said that, seems like Traylor is signaling that he's moving on. 1 Quote

San Antonio's electorate just pledged $1.4B new arena for Spurs. I think it's time that Traylor stops trying to make it work at UTSA and moves on to program that's better aligned with his goals. Sure it's in the Big 12, but is the support there? Arky is apparently leaning heavy towards the Memphis HC. LSU, Penn State and Florida are not going to hire him. Just not sure where he fits. Quote
Horns_90 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Sounds like Traylor is setting the table for justifying his eventual exit. Quote

That won't be replicated by any of the next coaches if UTSA doesn't step up. Quote
