  1. It was reported that Rees took a job coaching TEs for the Browns.
  2. Let's see if his recruiting traffic for football picks up now that he's opted to go in that direction.
  3. I only know of his work and people who have worked with him, not him personally. He's considered one of the nation's best DL coaches.
  4. Mike Elston. The only tie I know of that he has to Sark/Texas is that Elston and Terry Joseph worked together at Notre Dame for Brian Kelly.
  5. Michigan was willing to pay Harbaugh $12-13m. Are they really going to offer Moore $5mm? Interesting conundrum there for the UM brass.
  6. None of major consequence. But they have several defensive players who could be immediate guys for Texas, as well as some of their back ups on the DL.
  7. Who enters the portal? Who does Michigan hire? The answers could be intertwined..
  8. Most recent Michigan Depth Chart: https://www.ourlads.com/ncaa-football-depth-charts/depth-chart/michigan/91119
  9. Jim Harbaugh is headed back to the NFL. What does that mean to the University of Texas? Well, just like when Nick Saban retired, players of the coach's former school, Michigan, now have 30 days to enter the NCAA transfer portal. There are a multitude of players on the Michigan roster that Texas would likely have interest in, including defensive tackle Mason Graham and cornerback Will Johnson. However, neither player has openly mentioned leaving Ann Arbor following the national title win. For right now, it is almost entirely conjecture. However, in the coming days, we'll see if many Michigan players enter the portal and if the Horns are truly interested in any of them.

  11. I genuinely hope this will be a regular visit, Bevo. 😉 And Happy Birthday!
  12. Hearing more and more that it will likely be Alabama.
  13. Special thanks to our sponsor Adam Loewy of LoewyLawFirm.com. If you have been involved in a bad traffic accident and may need to seek legal representation, call Adam and his team and they'll give you a free consultation.
  14. I think you'll see Texas move more and more to the Deep South for recruiting and not just the metro areas. I think that's going to be part of being in the SEC. We've already seen a little bit of it in Mississippi and Alabama. No reason for Georgia not to be next.
  15. I read his book. That was about as tough a read as you can get, knowing the ultimate result despite the perseverance he showed.
  16. I think Texas negotiated out of the deal at almost no fee. That's what I was told. Part of it was giving up the dates on the Michigan and Ohio State games, and moving those to Big 10 home games to appease Fox. But the bigger piece was everyone wanted to move forward. I'll ask for more clarity.
  17. Fair points. Going into the season, I'd still go with Barron as best player. But I think he will be overtaken. I'd go with multiple players who do that - Burke, Hill, Williams, Brooks and Muhammad.
  18. 1. Earl. 2. VY. 3 & 4. I'm not sure. Torn between RW and Colt. 5. Derrick Johnson.
  19. Best returning player at this point is likely Barron. But I don't know that he'll be most impactful.
  20. This is why you should care... legit dude IMO. http://www.hudl.com/v/2Mwmue
  21. CJ and I talk about the State of the Program. We discuss the Portal and whether or not - and how well - Texas filled its needs. The first couple of workouts for the football team. And the Horns vs Aggies junior days.

  23. Steve Sarkisian spent a fair amount of time in Dallas today. The Horns’ head coach has already been to both Skyline and South Oak Cliff today. One player that is clearly a priority for the Horns this recruiting cycle is Bo Barnes, the linebacker at Skyline. It’s the third time Sarkisian or a Texas coach has met with Barnes in the last week (once at junior day and twice at Skyline).

  25. They’re at 86 or 87. Numbers should take of themselves by spring.
