  1. He’s obviously close friends with Hill but I agree it’s best just to ignore him.
  2. Here is the link to what seems like a great site if you want to see how the various scenarios play out. https://bball.notnothing.net/sec.php?sport=fb
  3. The only way Texas gets into the SEC championship game is if Texas wins out and we either are in sole possession of first place or we end up tied with Georgia (or one other team) at the top of the SEC. I believe under every 3+ tie scenario Texas loses the tiebreaker. As an example, if Texas, Georgia and LSU win out and there’s a three-way tie at first, then LSU plays Georgia in the championship game. Conference opponent win percentage kills us every time. But it’s actually more complicated. If one of the teams we are tied with is LSU, I think we always lose. But there are some scenarios where either the common opponents played or conference win percentage puts us ahead of Tennessee and Alabama. And others where both along schools (along with A&M) rank ahead of Texas in the tiebreakers.
  4. He also does a good job of explaining what OU did to Ewers.
  5. Anyone thinking that Texas will probably do nothing is dreaming. The SEC statement requires Texas “to use all available resources, including security, stadium and television video, to identify individuals who threw objects onto the playing field or at the opposing team. All individuals identified as having been involved in disrupting the game shall be prohibited from attending Texas Athletics events for the remainder of the 2024-25 academic and athletic year.” Here are the SEC bylaws/regulations on this. “If cans or plastic bottles are used as projectiles or otherwise cause game management issues, the institution is subject to an immediate fine and suspension of the alcohol sales privilege.” The Conference is not suspending alcohol sales privileges for the University of Texas at this time but reserves the right to do so if other requirements outlined above are not met.
  6. 28-21 Texas. Texas dominates despite the close final score. Those who do not learn history are destined to repeat it.
  7. I assume that Nolan Cain is huge for upping our NIL game. He seemed to do wonders at LSU and A&M.
  8. Stoops would have jumped at the Texas head coach job. But not enough skins on the wall, apparently. When Mack was hired, my friend from North Carolina made a curse. She wished me the same level of success he had had at NC. But for the magic of Vince Young, her curse would have stung.
  9. I wouldn't go so far as to call the brother fat, I mean he got a weight problem. #Jules
  10. This will never happen again. Never. Not ever. Because we are awesome! Be that as it may, I don’t think I ever enjoy a season opener the way I should.
  11. The refrigerator! Yes, Lane is definitely going to commit to Texas. That will be so funny.
  12. If we get four 5 stars in the next few weeks as we may well do, I would consider it a success.
