    Aggies have been waging a Jihad on Schloss and his staff for all of their lying and duplicitous behavior over the past two months. I’m happy to see they have entered the forgiveness phase of grief. Schloss’ coaching tree was already superlative, but it has just gotten better.

    There has been a plethora of fairly well-connected A&M folk, including parents of players, on X promoting Earley to A&M. I wonder if they learned a lesson from the Stoops fiasco and are trying to prepare everyone who was hoping for a splash big-name hire? I am not saying he would be a bad hire, but he’s not O’Connor.

    For the sake of argument, let’s just pretend he thinks that he will have better opportunities and will be developed better at OU. He would still say the exact same thing. He truly values the plan and development of Kyle Flood. When did anyone enjoy Norman more than Austin?

    The Sooners keep focusing on the modest raise to Venable’s salary. The key provision is the buyout clause. Unlike Sark’s original contract (and presumably the extension, I haven’t seen the terms) it is a fully guaranteed contract. So that adds another $16,000,000 or so to the buyout. At least it has a mitigation clause. Jimbo‘s contract was unique in that it was fully guaranteed with no mitigation provision.
