  1. I must be doing something wrong. I could only report and share. I saw no way to edit to give a shout out to VaHorn.
  2. Sark got off to a slow start, but he is on track to have 13 players drafted during his tenure at Texas. It took Mack Brown five years to match that (7 drafted after 3 years).
  3. He posts as Robert Behrens on Twitter.
  4. I only signed up for the OG thing. Is there another subscription tier where I can get CTJ scoop? I’m game.
  5. He said they felt they were promised that [Texas] would never come in, and then he quickly added they WERE promised that Texas would never come in.
  6. Sorry, Gerry. I guess you just have to deal with people that don’t like this sort of behavior. I’m sure Baylor mods would’ve said the same thing when people criticized Art Briles. Give me a break with this BS. Art has done nothing wrong.
  7. You don’t need to be promoted him all over Twitter. Why don’t you ask some hard-hitting questions to Sark like why are they still pursuing him? What do you think of Byron Murphy, Xavier and Jonathan Brooks promoting the story of Gus knowingly trying to poison him? You know, kind of like a reporter would?
  8. If he is still pursuing, I’m out. That’s the same blind loyalty that got Baylor where it is now. Adrift.
  9. And why is On Texas promoting him on Twitter? This is really a bad look.
  10. Why are you listing this as a visit? Texas is not this dumb but now we are held out to every other fan base whose school has backed away as being so.
  11. I remember when Mack Brown wouldn’t extend offers for the next class until the February signing day. It would always seem like everyone was going to LSU, until they didn’t. Hopefully, we can pry Moore more away. His mother is the biggest UT fan ever.
  12. This is the thread I didn’t know I needed, but desperately do. Every time a new class rolls around it’s hard to keep track of the new names. This is perfect.
  13. I think that is definitely true. My main question, however, is what he could have achieved without his self imposed constraints on recruiting. At times, he was more interested in being genteel than successful.
  14. This is amazing. Well done! Much appreciated.
  15. Sark seems to be the first real competitor to Mack Brown when it comes to recruiting. I recognize that this is a different era with NIL, but both coaches excelled at roster building over multiple recruiting cycles. I’m interested in everyone’s thoughts on the two when it comes to recruiting. From my perspective, Mack changed the recruiting landscape with his emphasis on early recruiting, and locking down the state of Texas. People sometimes point to A&M joining the SEC as opening the floodgates to out of state schools, but if you look at the old Austin statesman rankings, the floodgates were open in the 1990s also. But I always wonder what might have been if Mack didn’t handcuff himself. Once a player a recruited to another school, he stopped recruiting, at least in the early years. He didn’t like JUCOs. He was also focused on building recruiting momentum, and the percentage of offers extended to offers accepted. So we often ended up with a lot of commitments from the early camps and seemed to cast our net too narrowly. Just looking at Gerry’s post on the recent nationwide DL offers demonstrates the difference in approach. I like recruiting to the whistle but it can be nerveracking at times. We desperately needed OL in the 2022 class and at times it look like we would fall far short.
  16. He got a lot of heat from the Alabama fans when he posted a video of himself smiling and dancing after the Texas loss. The next time Texas plays Alabama he will be able to post a video without being accused of celebrating after a loss. Just saying…
  17. None of these tweets support anything you are saying. They are speculating that the plaintiff may be successful in the litigation. If they are, then you will have a final verdict which might be appealed. Until that happens, you have nothing. Obviously, the temporary injunction applies to the entire country. But that’s all it is. A temporary injunction staying any enforcement action during the pendency of litigation. Full stop. I think you are either overreading or not understanding what they are saying. I do agree that Bobby may be similarly misunderstanding the entire situation.
  18. If that is the case, then all of the so-called “experts” are sports writers and not lawyers. Of course, it is possible that the NCAA may lose this court case, and the verdict may be sustained on appeal. I certainly wouldn’t bet against that. But until that happens, it’s not a “done deal.“ I suspect that is why Texas is not charging ahead to violate these rules when all that has happened is that the NCAA has been temporarily been enjoined against enforcing said rules. If you think a district court judge in the eastern district of Tennessee is going to have the final say on this matter, I’m not sure what to tell you. If I had to bet, I would think it’s more likely that Congress will wade into this matter, regardless of how this case is finally decided, and preempt the judiciary.
  19. It seems pretty clear to me that this is just a ruling restricting enforcement action during the pendency of the case. No ruling on the merits has even been issued, let alone appealed. “It is hereby ORDERED that, effective immediately, Defendant NCAA; its servants, agents, and employees; and all persons in active conce11 or participation with the NCAA, are restrained and enjoined from enforcing the NCAA Interim NIL Policy, the NCAA Bylaws, or any other authority to the extent such authority prohibits student-athletes from negotiating compensation for NIL with any third-party entity, including but not limited to boosters or a collective of boosters, until a full and final decision on the merits in the instant action.”
  20. I agree with much of what has been posted above. I don’t see how a temporary injunction that prohibits the NCAA from enforcing its rules can be interpreted to mean that the rules have changed or no longer apply. That may well be the end result, but that is not the regulatory landscape right now.
  21. I think all of the investigators and compliance officers from Baylor football must’ve moved to Lake Travis. It seems like both followed similar investigative patterns.
  22. Fortunately, in this case, the young man will have the opportunity to attend any college with or without a football scholarship. He seems to be from a well off family. This will not define him. For what it’s worth, I agree with every word Nick Saban says in the clip below.
  23. You had to know that this would be the outcome when all of the graduating team leaders amplified this story. Clearly a tragic poor choice, but he did this to a teammate before a game. That is not something you can overlook.
  24. Has that term been included in the extension? I know it was in the original contract.
  25. Pretty interesting that both Xavier Worthy and Jonathan Brooks are Tweeting about the peanut allergy bullying incident. I can’t imagine that that recruit will make it to campus.
