  1. okay, everyone's going to say 'go get him sark' but let's try to look at this with the most realistic lens. we know the high end recruits' main criteria these days are 1) how can i get the most nil $, in 2) a system that will highlight my talents, and 3) not be in an over-crowded room because I want to play early (particularly true for skill position players). relationships matter, but only to an extent. same with location. with that said, taking out pure NIL: 1) Texas - great system with proven RB production with recent draft picks, room will have some talent, but no big dawg 5 star underclassmen left over. If wisner or baxter come back, may only be for a year. 2) tOSU - great system with proven RB production and recent draft pick, 4 star RB Akih committed for 2026. in 2025 4 starts Bo Jackson and Anthony Rogers, 3 start Isaiah West still in on stud RB Hiter who is likely leaning Tennesee or Michigan. overall, a very similar situation to Texas 3) Georgia - great system with proven RB production and recent draft pick, 4 start Lamar commited for 2026. in 2025 4 star Bo Walker. again, overall a very similar situation to Texas 4) Miami - by far the weakest system and shakiest coaching situation. 4 start Mallory committed for 2026. in 2025 4 star Girard Pringle and 3 star Charmar Brown. So in summary, 3 great options with similar situations, 1 closer to home. The other 3 have RBs committed, but that shouldn't matter to an elite talent. All 4 could potentially decide to "go big" and shut down the recruitment. Texas is playing from behind with given the lack of an official visit, but a visit could provide a wow factor. Another gird up your loins recruitment, but let's get him on freakin campus.
  2. Was hoping the message was hook em.
  3. So Calicut was promised a shot a CB and we were beaten on a top DT when we have 3 committed with another on deck… and that represents Kirby giving Sark the business? Not so sure about that.
  4. Funny responses from the team. Ant Hill 😂 https://x.com/notaburnerr007/status/1938251302699434303?s=46
  5. Taking a break from this sad thread for some weseley highlights
  6. They are friends I believe. Would love a package deal. However Georgia will be hard to beat for Johnson
  7. Interesting. No Moore this year for Oregon?
  8. Yeah that is true. I didn’t have time to do it but a lot of the 2024 class could be considered in this analysis…. Clark as basically a 2025 guy with his injury holding him back a year.
  9. CJ do you know if we ever reached out to Savion Hiter? Usual sec and big 10 schools involved though looks like he is going to Tennessee or Michigan. An absolute stud of a RB. Wonder if we figured for sure we’ll be fine with Osborne, Edwards or Crowell and just didn’t recruit him.
  10. After some tough recruiting loses, and some concern over some positions, I'm trying to considering what is really needed in this 2026 class.. where should Texas be really putting the big NIL $$. I thought we can look at the last 2 classes combined, looking at developmental prospects / out of the box studs, and see how they go together: QB 2025 - Lacey 2026 - Bell Both will be developmental, as they should. QB is an A+ RB 2025 - Stewart, Simon 2026 - crickets Simon could be in for some early PT.. Stewart needs to get some armor on. Would have been great to get a plug in guy in 2026 like a Crowell or Cooper but alas.. keep recruiting. WR 2025 - Lockett, French, McCutcheon, Terry (Ath) 2026 - Stewart, Brown, Bishop (Ath) Lots of developmental guys in both years. McCutheon seems the most ready of all. Hopefully French will be next up to go. Overall, we're in good shape, but nice to have a war daddy that can play day 1 if needed every few years like a Ryan Wingo. Doesn't look great for one in 2026 so far, though Bishop has that potential if he is really set at WR OL 2025 -Christian, Coleman x 2, Brooks 2026 - Robertson, Wright A whole lot of developmental guys, with the notable exception of Brooks. If we can get Turntine and Ojo in 2026, this is an awesome collection of talent with a lot of different developmental timelines, which is what you want for OL. TE 2025 - Winston, Townsend 2026 - nothing yet The 2025 class will be great.. both need a little time as you would expect with TE, but lots to work with. I'm not sold on Browne given what we have on tape of him, but trust the coaches I guess. DT 2025 - Charles, Sharma, Terry (part time DE?) 2026 - Berrymon, Wells, Cleveland Everything you could ask for in this group.. adding Guervil and possibly even Johnson would make it unbelievable. What a 2 year run DE 2025 - Jackson, Orogbo 2026 - Wesley Another tremendous group... add in any of the guys remaining on the board, and it's a complete 2 year stud class LB 2025 - Barnes, Cunningham 2026 - nothing yet 2025 has the great combo, but we have some ability to have a tremendous 2 year run if we can add either/both 5 star LBs on the board plus Kosi Okpala CB/N 2025 - Philips, Littleton, Chester 2026 - Howard, Riley Fantastic combo in 2025... we need a Matthews to complete this picture S 2025 - Hicks, Williams 2026 - nothing yet Another case where 2025 was so good, just add in some good high ceiling guys for 2026. Benjamin would be a cherry on top I'll leave out the specialists, as they are pretty much all 2026. In summary, I think the coaches are putting the big pushes in the right places.. the DL will be great for years. LB can be solidified this year. need a few high end guys in the secondary. Defense will be spitting out NFL guys like a PEZ dispenser every year. I think RB should have really gotten a better push.. I'm sure they went all in on Crowell as they should have before he committed... Hope they can do the same for Cooper and keep chipping at KJ Edwards because that just didn't make sense.
  11. Speaking of players that may have ended up somewhere not ideal….
  12. Honestly with limited nil funds I’m not gonna try to outbid aggy for brown give our d line haul last year and this year. I’m putting in extra into the lb room to get one or both of the five stars.
  13. Unfortunately doesn’t look good for Lee but got to recruit to the whistle as Gerry says. Came across this old article about Lee. Really wish we could get him somehow in this class https://www.espnhonolulu.com/2024/08/01/our-blind-side-how-kamehamehas-malakai-lee-became-one-of-hawaiis-top-prospects/
  14. That’s awesome! Cool to know the former longhorns that have become docs in addition to dr robin that said even if Turntine were to want to be a doc that would have to wait until he is done with an nfl career and he may be an early round pick with a long career. Rolle wasn’t in the nfl that long. And he took a Rhodes scholarship which looks pretty good on that med school app. Then neurosurg would be a seven year residency not counting additional years for fellowship. So it takes a rare breed to make a crap load of nfl money and then say I’m going to study like crazy for years then be on call every few nights for another 7 years.
  15. He doesn’t want to be a brain surgeon. An interview a few months ago debunked that. That would be a crazy path that only one freak of nature has ever done. One Myron Rolle.
  16. So do we split Lee and Turntine with Michigan or do we get both and Ohio state swoops in to get Ojo. Or can we sell the 3 tackle 0 running back package and get all 3.
  17. He’s going to have the thee hats out and then say “ nahhh. I’m jumping in the pool with Dan Lanning. “
  18. Won’t happen. but I’m not saying no to earl thomas now.
  19. What I like is that the staff have prioritized the lines. We are losing nil battles at skill positions but the trenches are where games are won
  20. They are spending money everywhere. 5 star corner. Turntine. Perry-wright. They will be a pain in the arse this year
  21. Sark and co need to adapt just like they have every year. We have giant nil offers to contend with now. Not sure why it is necessary to say that its relationships with Chad Scott or whatever. Kj Edwards doesn’t cancel his ov without incentive. Jalen Lott would be coached in an elite offense with an elite qb at Texas. there is no reason Texas should lose to USC with this legacy recruitment. USC is just throwing money at the elite kids and it’s producing commitments. Texas is doing great with some rooms but not well at others. They’ll end up with a great class I’m sure.
