  1. There is clearly evidence that he has taken off plays in the past. However consider 2 things. He had a huge amount of snaps last year and would be expected to contribute with less snaps. Thus we might be able to get more out of every snap. Second this would be a contract year for him as a junior. I think coach baker could motivate him for this. Of course all of this discussion could be for nothing if he is simply leveraging usc for more money and stays.
  2. Okay whatever man. You are entitled to your opinion and I have respected the value of your perspective through the years on other boards. I just don’t speak in absolutes. We will see what happens if he indeed gets into the portal and if sark then goes beelining to his home.
  3. Hey I’m realistic about the situation and am very aware of the most likely truth. However unless you know the kid and family personally there is no need for a holier than thou attitude about it. I am aware that is your shtick on these boards but not everything is so black and white.
  4. Honestly does anyone REALLY know if this kid is or is not a culture fit? Yes i realize the multiple high schools and colleges is not a good sign but that doesn’t mean the kid isn’t coachable and a good teammate. Heck our running back 1b was felt to be a lost cause by many and look at him now. For all you know he made the money grab to usc but is now homesick or has some other issue that could bring him home ala adonai. Coach del la torre seemed to have good things to say about him. Let the coaches figure it out before jumping to conclusions
  5. Yeah that’s unfortunately what I’ve heard as well. Hopefully they have some back door deal already set up for the portal window opening with another stud dt.
  6. 47 tackles. 1.5 sacks last year. We could use the help if he is not a total head case.
  7. I'm in as well. Thanks guys for all you do!
  8. Something to look for throughout spring and fall practice is ball security for the running backs. Both blue and Baxter fumbled in the cfp game. Hope this is an emphasis this offseason for both.
  9. I could buy nibblet, bond, wingo, cook, butler and moore. I think bolden is faster. Livingstone is definitely faster than that. Dubose is clearly way faster if his knee is healthy. He ran some pretty good track times even after his knee injury last year i recall.
  10. This seemed pretty likely for a while. Heard there wasn’t any movement getting him to come in for an official visit. Obviously we are in good shape with other top targets.
  11. I get with you are saying with paying walk ons. it's a nice dream to have a bunch of walk ons that are actually good like Nebraska in the 90s (or better). However, I think the fanbase could do a surlyhorns like burnt ends thing for the TE as a special teams walk on NIL that pays for scholarship value dollar for dollar for any starter that wins a job. Thus it wouldn't necessarily be a walk on versus not walk on thing, but more of a privilege given to the special teams standouts ala a Bert Auburn. We could call it the Jeff Banks Special Teams Don't Monkey Around NIL fund or something..
  12. So it could make sense to have a Fasusi, D Coleman, Mills, Christian/Thomas, J Coleman class without a true center as we are stacked there anyways. Though would love to somehow steal the iowa kid Brooks
  13. What would be better upside? Coleman bros or combo of 2 of mills, Thomas and Christian? I really like Mills. Seems like Colemans would be a combo package.
  14. I was surprised by the complete lack of playing time in conference play. Not surprised he is transferring as that was the reason he ended up switching from Kansas to us in the first place. Don’t love the fact that we have to completely retool the roster for a second year in a row.
  15. Are we pro or against women romancing each other when Zion comes in? I recall that was an issue with Jamarkus.
  16. If we get DK we would be set for WR in 2025. Imagine Cook, Deandre Moore, Wingo, and DK Moore
  17. True. Crazy part was Ricky playing fullback his freshman year and still getting almost 1000 yards.
  18. Still partial to Priest, Ricky, and Shon in the mid 90s
  19. No doubt. Just last year we lost brooks, but aside from that he and Baxter were constantly in and out of games with minor injuries.
  20. Tagoa’i cb to usc sucks. They must be doing something way different with nil over there with all the recruiting momentum. I can’t imagine they could out recruit Nansen on a poly kid. Hope he comes to campus as planned
  21. I think the guys have hinted there is an underlying medical concern. Understand the concern about his development, but lets give the man some benefit of the doubt. Who knows how serious or if it is a long term issue.
  22. we need a NT, he is more of a 3 tech which we have
  23. CJ you think he can play in college at this weight? I assume we have to get him down to 355 ish ala Cam Williams but not sure how easy that will be. How are those giants at tcu and aggy doing so far? Byron Washington is another huge one but clearly not in Katoa’s class
  24. Vasek is a legacy not just some random guy we recruited from Florida. Could he eventually transfer he can’t get healthy? Of course but he is not likely gonna jump ship hardly one year on campus.
  25. You guys would have given up on Jordan Shipley too then geeze 🤦‍♂️
