  1. Good Morning CJ. As always, looking forward to your coverage on Game Day from the locale. Have a Great Day! Hook’em!!!
  2. What happened to all the talk about Coach Drink being a solid Coach but doesn’t beat Teams above .500. Mizzou’s wins every game against a Team with a losing record, but does not win vs opponents with a winning record (they have 1 this year for the first time in many years). With all the Coaching Openings last year, Coach Drink wasn’t selected for any of them. He is a solid Coach that does a great job with his squad. He actually does remarkably well with his given resources in getting the most out of his Team. I look for Mizzou to be competitive. But, seriously if Texas loses this game or if it is even a FG victory then Texas has bigger issues than anyone of us can imagine. When you look at the bigger picture, this must be a Statement Win for Sark, Arch and This Program. Good Teams win, Great Teams cover and my expectation is that Texas takes care of business and does it with Class. Cover the Spread Sark. And I believe that to be a reasonable expectation. Hook’em!!!
  3. All I can say is this: That is Rod Babers theory and it is Jeff Howe's work and words. I agree with the above. But, that doesn't mean that Sark agrees with the conclusion. Lets face it, there are plenty of Knowledgeable Fans on this website that have been saying this for Months. Bottom line is this: Arch is a 4 year player in a system that has had no turnover. He had a mentor in Quinn Ewers. He is in his 2nd year as a starter notching up I think 23 Starts now, maybe 24. If after all that, I mean that is a runway that you can land a 747 on, and Sark has only now found a formula for success for Arch Manning......I think those are your words, not Sark's. I hope Sark did not confess that......But, boy oh boy, if that is the case and Sark has only now found a formula for success, I don't know what to tell you. I mean, sacrifice a turkey early and sit on the floor in the kitchen with some cheap Bourbon and toss up some bones and see where they land. For me and I know many others, this is an obvious formula that if implemented by Sark then this Texas Team would not have lost two games to two Unranked Teams and todays Team would not be sweating The Playoffs. Hook'em!!!
  4. There is a side of me that thinks that Sark would like to be joined at the hip with Arch. No, this season has not gone as planned for either one of them. So, Sark says for Arch to come back and lets try it again and reload. Then, for whatever reason and certainly the hope would be that Arch does light it up next year and they find success together as a pair. Then they can shop that success to an NFL Team and go together to do it on Sundays.
  5. Ha! Gerry would say: I'm grabbing a dozen corndogs, a gallon of mayo and going to gird my loins. Have a nice day!
  6. Texas wins 31 -27. Hook'em!
  7. All great stuff Jeff, Appreciate the analytics and all your hard work. If I can add a couple of things, as bad as the OLine has been they have: 1) improved Arch's protection time in the pocket from last year to over 3 seconds - that is a huge plus 2) the sacks that gets credited to the OLine can be differentiated to an actual QB sack for 2a) holding the ball to long 2b) for not throwing the ball away 2c) not actually improving and running for yardage. In addition the 3rd key point is: coverage sacks whereby WRs have not created separation and have been well covered. And finally the 4th point is a Play Called by Sark against a Defensive Play Called (DC) that does not work out; for example, a blitz trumps a bad offensive play call. A long slow developing route against a particular Defensive Play Call results in failure. So, as bad as The OLine is and gets dinged, there are other factors that contribute to that Group's short comings and weakness. At the end of the day, the question is: Is it the OLine individual players or The OLine schemes designed by The Coaching Staff? If one is in Tony Hills Camp - must listen to this past Wednesday Hump Day with Hills - I submit that one can change any personnel you want or mix the combination of current personnel, but until you change the schemes there will be no difference in outcomes. Tony Hills does a terrific articulation of the real world in the trenches during mid season play. Must Listen on C&F. Personally, I remember MeMa telling me when I was growing up that I was to smart for my own good. MeMa was always right. I think Sark and His Offensive Staff is to smart for their own good. They are implementing Pro like schemes that Collegiate Players obviously can't process, comprehend and execute. Furthermore, Sark's Play Call Sheet doesn't apply to The College Game, it is more suitable for The NFL. Hey Sark, are you building a resume for a job in The NFL? Are you putting on tape schemes that would be effective, productive and efficient in The NFL? Just curious. Just a question. Hook'em!!!
  8. I don't know what to say. CJ Vogel has been on this from the very beginning. Brooks Austin has been all over it....and on it for a awhile as well: the footwork, the mechanics, the processing, the speed of play, the decision making. Now, Max Browne adds to it. But, for this site, I give CJ all the credit and Gerry walked into his camp yesterday saying: start Lacey vs Ole Miss. What's crazy is: Sark is watching the same film as everyone else but is giving Arch a ton of rope here to continue to play him. I ask this now: If you don't start Lacey, what is it going to take to convince you to sit Arch? The answer will be: We are losing 21-3. GEEZE! My biggest problem is with those who look at the scoreboard versus those who watch the field of play. There are those that say: The OLine is the problem, the RBs and the TEs need to step up and block - then they cherry pick 2 plays in the game to prove their point without holding Arch to the same standard. I think after CJ, Brooks and now Max the breakdowns have begun to get some traction. Arch is at best and average QB - at best. I don't care about the flashes, I desire consistency. Max even uses the word "lucky" for some those flashes. Then, those that love Arch or who are slow to come around talk about his record - again joining the crowd of the scoreboard watchers. Arch fails the test of fundamental QB play. I'm willing to bet you that if you called up every Coach of a Team in The Top 20, they would be reluctant to take Arch through the Portal. Not gonna happen and that tells you all you need to know. It is time to move on. Arch has done a lot for the Program. I like Arch as a kid, but as a QB for The Univ of Texas, I'm not a Fan and haven't been for awhile. Finally, that tent has begun to grow. Hey, if my wife who is from Louisiana and a fan of The Mannings can say Arch does not have it for the standard of The Univ of Texas and that he needs to move on - if she can see it long before any action has taken place then seriously, Sark, put The Team first and Lets Go! CJ is The Best! Hook'em!!!
  9. Great! Then we agree its "possible". That was the simple idea and statement from the very beginning. Happy to hear that we are on the same page. Have an outstanding day! I want what is best for This Team. What is Best for Arch. We all want the same thig, the question is the pathway to achieve the desired result. Hook'em!!!
  10. I don't know what to tell you. It has been mentioned ad nauseum on OTF on the Manning Family wanting Arch to be developed. The Manning Family wants Arch to prepare for The NFL. Pocket Passer. Play Action. Make NFL type throws. The Manning Family doesn't want to see Arch take hits. This is well documented as Arch himself has addressed it. I would submit, that if the Best thing for this Team would be for a QB to play any different than that then that is "influence". For example, if the Best thing for this Team is Arch to play a style like Tim Tebow, then that would be a problem. eve if it is The Best thing for The Team. Likewise, if this Team needed a true dual threat QB like play and that style was given to Arch, then that would be a problem. As subtle as "influence" can be, it is certainly possible. Again, I'm not saying that has taking place. I will also add that it works the other way: Do you realize how many Coaches make promises to Families in order to secure their Commitment from High School? promises that don't come true. Is that not "influence". All good. Hook'em!!!
  11. I don't think he is intimidated at all; so, no to your question. But, he could be influenced - could be, not saying he is like I mentioned above - and if so, he would not be the first Coach that would be "influenced" by a Players' Family and he won't be the last. Lets see what happens this week and throughout the 4 QTRs of the game on Saturday. Fair enough?
  12. I think that is logical and certainly pragmatic, which is anything but.......for Sark this year. Question though: Do you think Sark would actually do that against Ole Miss and with the entire Manning Family present because of The Ole Miss game? There are some who claim that there is a so called "deal or or at minimum a gentlemens agreement" for Arch's development. I'm not saying there was - don't put those words in my mouth - , but I am asking a question of: "Can Sark bench or pull Arch in this situation of Ole Miss and the connections in this game???
  13. HHMM. Did Arch really beat 4 of the top 10 teams? If so, then you have to say that Arch just lost to 2 unranked teams with a loss to an unranked team last year. If that is true, losing to unranked teams is far more damaging than beating the top 10 teams - we missed the playoffs last year with a loss to unranked Florida although we rolled at the end of the season beating those ranked teams. Personally, I don't give Arch credit for winning those top 10 games. You win as a Team and you lose as a Team.
  14. Willing to bet anyone a doughnut or a corn dog, that Sark will ultimately say just prior to Game Time: We looked at Lacey in practice and decided the Team has the best chance to Win with Arch, so we are staying wit Arch but will continue to evaluate.
  15. You’re right. My bad. To throw, not 1 pass beyond the line of scrimmage - illegal forward pass - but, to then throw 2 passes in the next game which is something that does not occur at the high school level let alone at college…as a 4th year player by the way. WOW. Throws into double coverage constantly - how many pics - but, misses the wide open receiver over and over. Throws 2 pics while having the lead (OU) and then fumbles in the pocket (UF) with 3 time outs and struggles game in and game out, but other than that you’re right. As to the back seats. Nah! I did it from the front row on the field and whose son did it from the front row there afterwards. I would encourage you to move up from the cheap seats and to focus. Focus is important and to focus on details Little Carmine. A Critical thinking skill set is vital is in this scenario and conversation; especially to success in the long run. HOOK’em!!!! Let’s raise the bar and go win a Nattie!
  16. I understand. I agree with you. However, with the resources Texas should do the same. Any Coach at Texas with the support and resources that is provided to them from Texas should make The Playoffs in a 24 Team Playoff every year. Hey, Kelley left ND for LSU, so why shouldn’t Freeman leave ND for Texas
  17. It’s Marcus Freeman with the 1st call and brining in Chip Kelly for OC with Muschamps as DC would be a heckuva Staff. Let’s go CDC. I’m ready!!!
  18. Whoever said he was a Super Star. I’m so sick and tired of those whether in sports, business or politics that have a name carry them. The Manning name got him an interview. The Manning name labeled him as a high caliber recruit: Georgia, Bama, Texas. 5 star my ass. The Manning name bought him time to learn and to observe while getting paid. The Manning name got him his opportunity. Period. He has had his opportunity. He is not good. He is not Generational, he is not elite, he is not great and he is not really good. He is an average QB at best. I’m sick of tired of these names who get preferential treatment, when others like Lacey and Bell are busting their ass working just as hard but don’t get the chance because of their name versus a Manning name. Arch needs to be benched and benched immediately. If not, and he gets Booed, then don’t tell me to Boo him because he should not be playing. Arch should not be seeing the field but is because of his name. Tired of it! Sark, that is on you.
