Fallout??? How about this: Sark you are at the top on the list of coaches falling from #1 in the country to out of the Top 20 in the history of college football. What do you have to say for yourself?

If I’m CDC, we have a meeting at 7 AM on Sunday Morning and have one question: Sark, do you really want to be here? I’m not seeing the pain. I’m not seeing the sense of urgency. I’m not seeing wanting to improve. I’m not seeing much of anything than just hanging out. Sark, you have a new born and it looks like a “work life balance” is more important to you. Do you really want to be here??? Because if you on’t, we have a roster of many others that can come in and do a better job.

Reminds me of the conversation that Florida had with Billy Napier last year. They told him he was struggling as a play caller. Napier with his ego and arrogance said: Im the play caller. Im not hiring anyone. It wasn't long after the fact that nothing had changed the Florida was forced to make a change. it is unfortunate.

Great Stuff Gerry! Spot On!!! Absolutely Spot On! And what is crazy is the fact that today there is a green dot allowing the Coach to communicate with the QB up until 15 seconds on the play clock and we still struggle. Can you imagine Manning playing 5 years ago without any communication?

Say what you want; the fact of the matter is that we should have never put the kicker in that position. Never! Go back through the sequence of plays and walk it through play by play just in that sequence. Should have never come to a 52 yard field goal.

I will save the thoughts I have for 24 hours, but for now I will say that Steve Sarkisián, Head Coach of The University of Texas, is the most over payed Coach in College Football.

I like your pick. We are now 3 weeks removed from the Drama of Holly Rowe. Bye Week to collect his thoughts and reset. Spent some time with his Family. I look for Sark to break tendency and allow Manning to just be Manning. There has been talk all week about when Mack Brown FINALLY allowed Vince to be Vince AND Coach to the strengths of Vince. I'm hoping that may play an impact in Sarks' approach to the game. Coaches ultimately at some point have to make a decision: Is this player gonna fit into my system no matter what OR am I going to adjust my approach to play to the strengths of my players. I don't care if you smoke weed, but I don't want to smell your weed. Do I drink alcohol? Yes. I like a cold beer, but that doesn't affect you or others in anyway. But, the smell of your weed makes an impact on everyone.

Always things to work on. Opportunities abound: both offensively and defensively and that is to be expected from the 1st game. The surprise for me was how Philips and Mascoe on the corners gotten taken advantage - the trade off of man coverage - of and a couple of runs on the interior DLine, but nothing to be alarmed about. No big deal! Maybe not picking. The key is Consistency and there was an ebb and flow in the 3rd QTR as we did not sustain the intensity of the first half. Love that we started out strong after last years slow starts. Love the fact that we only committed 4 penalties. Great first look and if we play at a high level next week we beat OSU by more than most expect. Lots of talent on this team that covers for mistakes and for one another. Hook’em!!!

For me: This is very simple. New DC. One that Coaches hard. One that has high expectations and gives direct feedback. A DC that knows what it takes to Win at the Highest Level. Smith couldn’t respond. Smith couldn’t answer the bell. When the DC said based on Coaching the call / Coaching the situation and go sit down to think about it, the student broke. The student came back the next day but couldn’t over come the expectations. The student couldn’t overcome the adversity and challenges. As a result, I’m hitting The Portal. For me: This is the best news I have heard today because I don’t want to go back to 2010 to 2013 of entitlements and complacency. The idea if I show up then it’s mine and I’m a Winnner. Next man up. I think the question is: Why now? Why do you do this 3 weeks before the season starts? If the intent is genuine, then let him play the year out? It doesn’t seem to make any sense. Is there a desperation factor to lock him down so that he doesn’t leave like Riley left. Clemson may open up after this year, FSU may be on the hunt, USC if Riley can’t produce….Is OU desperate to hang on. I like Venables, but did he earn this extension? Seems to have a high floor but I think his ceiling is capped as a HC. Doesn’t make sense. Why now?

I mean much much better. OU and Venebles gets a lot of love on the Defensive Side and the stats prove it out. I get it. No problem. Until....you break it down. They played 3 Non Con Games in Illinois State, Temple and Kent State holding them to a combined 6 points. Their 4th Non Con Game was at Home to Michigan giving up 17 points to back foot Bryce and a Coach who got fired. This was the majority of their yearly stat production. They rode that out of the gate performance throughout the year. Not a single turnover until game 5. In SEC play, Auburn 17 points at Home - whose Coach got fired - for a come from behind win. Texas on a sub par offensive unit - working through the OLine woes - gave up huge yards on the ground. Played an unranked South Carolina Team giving up 7 points, probably their best total defense of the year. Ole miss 34 points. Unranked Tennessee 27 points. Mizzou was overrated from the beginning and was a pedestrian game. Bama 21 points and LSU with an interrim Coach gives up 13 points at Home and had to come from behind to win that game. OU Defense is good, don't get me wrong. Venebles, as a DC is good; in fact, really good. But, this Texas defense is Loaded and I put Muschamps on par with Venebles. OU lost a lot to the NFL and I look for a regression this year as there is now tape on Venebles being back at calling plays last year. And oh, one more thing, Venebles back was against the wall last year and if you don't think that played into the results I don't know what to tell you. This is a Texas and UGA conversation. Based on the survey I received a couple of weeks ago, it is coming. No doubt about it. I know the lean is to keep the jersey clean, so how about this for an idea: We go to Nike and say we don’t want to add a Sponsor but it makes economic sense to do so, are you willing to step up and pay the price to keep the eyeballs only on your logo and not put on another companies logo?
