  1. Here are some football highlights with Craig Way on the call.
  2. I coached Jr. High basketball for a decade and he is as good in 8th grade as anyone I ever saw.
  3. Conference championships, coaching All Americans, winning awards, and putting players in the NFL is fantastic. However, when you get this type of endorsement from a parent…this is something to be proud of. Good work Sark.
  4. I first subscribed to OTF when your channel had less than a 1000 subscribers. Of course this was when OTF was affiliated with IT. To be honest, I wasn't over impressed but I needed a change from OB’s videos so I continued to watch. And after watching a second and then a third video I got hooked. It isn’t that the other YouTube channels are bad…they just lack the smooth deliveries and/or knowledge of the program and recruiting that OTF delivers daily. Getting Gerry back was a major coup. As long as you put out honest, reasoned, and enthusiastic shows I can see the channel growing by leaps and bounds.
  5. Barnes looks like a must get for UT. He could easily be the continuation of great LB play on the 40.
  6. “Would it not be a better gauge and better preperation for the next level if the rules were the same?” I agree. There should be some overlapping rules for the college and pro ranks. However, since only a very small portion of college players play pro football, it doesn’t make sense to mirror the rules completely. After all there already mechanisms in place (the Combine, Pro Days) for prospective pro players. The college game is more wide open and more exciting than the pro version and many of us would hate seeing bogged down by pro rules. Also since college players are not as developed either physically or in their skill level differences are needed. For example, the pros requiring both feet to be in bounds to be a legal catch as compared to college needing only one foot.
  7. Simms is the best/worst example (depending at how you look at it) of what the Horn fanbase can do to a player. Simms was a great recruit and a very good QB for the Horns. However, since he did not live up to the hype while on the 40 Acres he has been vilified by many so-called fans. Mack didn’t do him any favors by starting him ahead of Major but he never deserved the animosity showered upon him by so many. I would love to see him back home and welcomed with open arms.
  8. Let’s face it, the Longhorn nation does have a number of people who know little about football. Don’t believe me, then check out threads on OB or IT during any football game. From firing Sark and PK during the game to disparaging comments about players for not living up to the poster’s skills on Madden Football the Longhorn Nation has its share of nutcases. I just hope OTF will be different than OB and IT. This is a great story and thanks for sharing.
  9. This is just another sign that the Longhorn program is on the right track. Our appearance in the playoffs, three years of top 10 recruiting classes, losing coaches to promotions (especially head coaching positions), front office types being sought after, and the success the Horns had at the Combine. TCU made the Championship game a few seasons ago but could not continue that success. In other words it was a one season fluke. It is a great time to be a Horn.
  10. Excellent video. By the way, congratulations on surpassing 38,000 subscribers on YouTube. Of all the channels that cover the Horns exclusively, OTF has the largest number of subscribers. At least as far as I can find.
  11. Vic is amassing talent at a Sark like level.
  12. With the national championship on the line, Bush was not on the field on 4th and 1. That tells you how what the staff thought of him IMO.
  13. So far all Longhorns have performed well at the Combine. Recruits and the media will all notice and talk about for weeks to come. We will have at least 8 Longhorns drafted and that will continue the momentum. Finally, the Spring Game will highlight Quinn, Arch, and the rest of the team.
  14. If avaliable, KC would be stupid to not take him in the 1st.
  15. An all time run for an all time player. Does this elevate him to the 1st Round?
  16. I think part of the problem with a lack of knowledge of UT football history can be attributed to a lack of success over the last 15 or so. However, I think a larger problem is the abundance of activities to occupy young men today. As a young boy growing up in the late 69s and early 70s I had far fewer distractions. There were three TV channels and I watched every broadcasted game I could. Magazines like “Football Digest” and Dave Campbell’s “Texas Football” dominated my days. I remember lying in bed listening to Houston Astros’ broadcasts on my transistor radio. Watching the DarrellRoyal Show with Cactus Pryor was a must during the season.
  17. It is difficult to be mad at Blake because as a lifetime Rangers fan he has known nothing but heartache and ridicule. The once in a lifetime championship has obviously gone to his head. 😉
  18. Looks very athletic (his sub 40 in the 300s is very good for someone who is 6’6”) but his level of competition is very questionable. However, if Banks and Sark want him , then he is a take.
  19. Great interview. I have often wondered if college athletics would be better served by a NCAA that is divided by division. For example, one arm of the NCAA would cover Division III, one would cover Division II, etc. The issues and problems that affect Mary-Harding Baylor (Division III) greatly differ than those affecting UT. It could also be divided by gender. For example Division II may allow transgenders to participate in women’s sports but Division III does not. In addition, there could be a super conference of the top 48-64 teams made up of SEC, Big 10, ACC, etc. that would apply only to football. It would also have different rules like national signing day, NIL, etc. I realize it does seem farfetched and highly unlikely to come fruition. Just thinking out loud.
  20. While I would love to see either one of those guys in a Cowboy uniform, I believe that there are bigger needs for the Cowboys, especially at #24.
  21. My first thought is, “Well there is always one or two knuckleheads in every crowd”. However, there seems to be quite a number if knuckleheads in that relatively small crowd, so yeah Texas Tech is a classless group of Aholes.
  22. Of course this is all to be taken at an individual level. I guess I should have stated that but it did not seem necessary. I think Earl Campbell is a great example of how the wear and tear of year after year of pounding a RB absorbs can be detrimental. However, I think a good question is how much of his HS and college careers contribute to his health issues later in life? Or were his physical issues, after he retired, more due to his pro career? I am not sure if those questions dan be honestly answered.
  23. Some of those highlights are electric. I can see why Sark and the staff are in on him.
