    I don’t know enough about him to make any kind of intelligent guess as how well he will do at a&m but it does seem like an underwhelming hire. We will see.

    While getting him would have been a nice pickup, not getting is not gonna break us. I think it was Gerry who said he wanted more playing tome than he would have gotten at UT. Throw in a larger UIL than we probably were willing to pay and Tech can have him. While I wish him no ill will, I doubt he will get the pro attention there playing full time as opposed to the eyes on him at UT.

    Extremely negative take on Vic. I have no problem with Vic not matching ou’s offer but as with all UT coaches, the culture is more important than any one single player.

    I believe some people are overlooking Owens as Arch’s backup and then replacement. Owens is 5 inches or so taller, 30 or so pounds heavier, can throw just as well (if not better), and is functionally mobile. I can see Owens waiting his turn and starting in the 2027 season.

    I realize that Mike Fisher is both loved and hated by fans of the Cowboys. He does make some good points. Quinn has the arm talent, has played thru adversity and injuries, he has overcome being benched, and having unreal expectations heaped upon him. Whether or not the Cowboys draft him, I do not know but I would love to see it.

    Arch is not going pro for two years, at least. If Archie (his grandfather) has his way it would three years.

    All too often we are focused solely with the on field success or failure of our favorite team and overlook those no longer able to play. J. Cook, while not injured, is a very fresh reminder of the troubles that can befall one we very recently cheered. Also we are fortunate to have good men and women in charge of UT and its athletic department.
