Best Qb's in this draft class...? Let's Go!!
817 Boxing B replied to 817 Boxing B's topic in On Texas Football Forum
It's funny how when it's a guy people don't like, they always point to character, but Brett Farve and Aaron Rodgers get passes. Tom was just passionate. I could go on and on. Jaxson Dart had a way worse meltdown... Caleb Williams, hell Carson Beck. Funny how the Big 12 is crap now....but before he got there, the Big 12 was too tough for him to be successful in. Now that he's performed at a high level, now it's trash. ASU just took us to the wire... and they won the Big 12, like we did last year. I get it. Hate what you don't understand, but that kid and Travis give up their NIL for teammates. Also does a lot of work with kids that doesn't get publicity. I wonder if you felt the same way about Jay Cutler. Juss saying. -

I think you have Sheduer pegged wrong. Being the NFL rich son doesn't lend you to being liked and he was heavily shaded during his high school career and recruitment. When he played well before, it was because it was "lesser" competition. Moved to the big 12 at a desolate Colorado, with no o-line, and took more sacks than anyone, but look at the numbers. In that year?, his stats were on par with Beck and Ewers as tops in college football. Imagine if he had the benefit of a Texas or Georgia O line...? Then this year, heisman reciever, and a 9-4 season. Johnny U award. Look, I know you don't like him or his father, or their social media presence, or the swag, but honestly, you're not supposed to. That's ok. To denigrate the young man who's overcome a different type of adversity that you can't wrap your head around and understand is really alarming and near sighted. #2 made amazing plays the last 2 years at Colorado, no denying that. -

Vincent Young didn't do too bad, but we all expected way more. Interesting, but I'm on board with it. Good take. -
Alright Horns family...write it in blood. In 5 years, gimme a redraft of the qb's out of this class coming up. 1. Drew Ailar 2. Cam Ward 3. Jaxson Dart 4. Sheduer Sanders 5. Quinn Ewers π€πΏ

Bond no call was ridiculous! The guy made no effort to get to the football and launched himself upward towards Bond's head. That call, more than any other, had me believe that we were about to lose. The gang fought tooth and nail and earned a huge win, no thanks to the officials. The Skatteboo push off with Taffe was obvious, but it was also obvious that there was a narrative and story being sold to add some flair to the CFP. It's almost as if they felt sorry for Lil ol' ASU for having to go up against the corporate conglomerate in Texas. I guarantee you this next week will be a smorgasbord of Texas doesn't belong, they got a gift, and OSU will wipe the floor with us. Screw Yormark, can't wait to hear Bobby roast his ignorant ass. We won the Big 12 title 2 years in a row, cry about it. Keep doubting us. Keep hating on us. I like it....bring it on... give the guys something to focus on and be angry about. Let's show em how big we do it in Texas!! π€πΏ

To everyone who has become a part of this community... no matter what differences we have, we all share a love for the University of Texas. Through that, we truly have built a culture that we can be proud of. It's not always smooth, families have fights, but we stick together. Let's keep the good times rolling into 2025. Thanks Bobby, Gerry, Blake, CJ, Rod B., Big Stevie, Coach Shipley, Matt and everyone that works hard to allow us to have a place to call home. Happy New Year!

Fire off your Recruiting Breakdown questions

Is Kaiden Finley more like his father or are we looking at Duce 2.0? -
ASU probably couldn't pony up that type of money and Georgia probably wouldn't, and there's not much of a chance of his brother seeing the field there, imo. UNC wouldn't be the spot, too west coast to go from Lincoln Riley to Bill Belichek if you ask me. Tennessee has opportunities for Zach, maybe not so much his brother, and is it a better bet that Nico progresses or Arch? Josh Heupels' offense compared to Sark? Why would Squirrel White and Mike Matthews leave if that was the spot for him to be featured? The only issue with Texas is that his brother isn't beating out any safety we have that won't transfer after the season ends. So... the million dollar question is still... where do they go??!

Listen.. is it me, or is Zachariah not signing with anybody a big signal as to his interest on playing for one of these playoff teams? That leaves us, Georgia and maybe Oregon as possible landing spots, unless Arizona St does the unthinkable. Regardless, he would be dynamite in the icy whites, imo. Thoughts?

Interesting portal observations...

Holden Staes is in the portal now..... juss saying. -
π€£π€£π€£π€£π€£ I know all of my fellow Longhorn family enjoyed watching Oklahoma lose to Navy. Please, let this be the place we can all return to and revel in their misery. Anything decent but derogatory about OU and their fans should be posted here. Let's mark this day in infamy and glory and make it a new Longhorn holiday. Venablabble won't survive this, I think he's about to step down or be fired. 2 outta 3 years, 6-7 and 25+ players, many 4 star players, in the portal. That's culture for you right there...π€πΏπ€£π€£π€£π€£π€£π₯π₯π₯ #BurnBabyBurn!!

Jarron Reed Jr a possibility? -
Watched Lincoln do a short media scrum and guys, I can tell you he had the look of a guy who has eyes on the NFL. It doesn't look like the donors want to keep forking over big time money for 8-4 and 6-6. That profit sharing money only goes so far. The NIL will cover the big money guys, and as you can see, all of the 5 stars have left Lincoln within the last two years. He also touched on things changing from what it was when he came. Sounds like a guy who is waiting on Bloody Monday in the NFL. Could the Bears be dumb enough to make him head coach...? Probably more likely he's the Bears OC next year. Thoughts...? Oh.. and OU still sucks.. Mateer.. or MA dear... makes no nevermind!!π€πΏπ€πΏπ€πΏ

I definitely see Blue leaving after the playoffs if he doesn't have a great showing. The problem with going after Haynes right now is, if you bring him in, does Blue say screw you and jump in the portal and leave you with Wisner and Gibson for the playoffs? At that point, his excuse would be spots are filling up and he's not in the future plans, so why stay and keep playing and risk injury? This transfer portal while teams are in the playoffs is a minefield. Sark deserves whatever they're paying him, and then some. -

So happy for my city. We've been in the shadows of the city of Dallas for a long time. Red-lining and poor funding have rendered the east and south sides of Ft Worth to be desolate, without anything to be proud of. Many of those families have moved to that area to provide their families some kind of opportunity. It's wonderful to see that community come together and support these kids, and for these kids to come together and focus, with all that could derail them, to beat a program like Duncanville... is epic.- 17 replies

Let's be honest, Quinn may go in the 1st round, but he isn't ready to lead an NFL franchise in year 1. Seeing as though he may be a Day 2 guy, in my sickest dreams possible, could Jerry scoop up the hometown kid, assuming he doesn't win a Natty and set the world on fire throughout the CFP? Just spitballing...π€£π€·πΏββοΈπ€πΏπ₯
