  1. I'm really not trying to stir up anything, but was Durkin the HC at Maryland when one of the Terps players sadly and tragically died in S&C training and/football practice?

  3. Back in the day...I remember walking along the Drag across the street from the UT campus and the David Allan Coe tour bus was parked by the (then) Tower Records. The bus was NOT inconspicuous! The letters spelling out the recording artist's name were about three feet tall and David's name extended along the entire side of the bus. When you were passed out on the Interstate highway there was zero doubt about who it was!
  4. Must've been that scenic view of the billiard table topography of the Oklahoma countryside I heard he posted from the top (third) floor of his Norman hotel room that he found to be captivating. Nicer than the Four Seasons and VY's Steakhouse in Austin I guess. Seriously, the only thing I can think of is he's going to get more snaps at Oklahoma since they aren't as deep along the Dline and so will have more of a chance to stand out on film... Oh well, indeed. I hope the Horns OLine has a great game in the RRR. Hook 'Em!
  5. Well I hope the dance the demonic Damonic did with Texas drove up the NIL offer from Oklahoma to the point that he disproportionately drained the Sooner NIL budget. Time will tell about him, but as a longtime CFB observer I have always felt strongly that I don't want a player who doesn't really, really want to be a Longhorn. I'm sure he will enjoy being the Defensive MVP of the Alamo Bowl. See him in October at the State Fair of Texas. Hook 'Em!
  6. Thanks Bobby! I always reminded my kids "Don't let the perfect be the enemy of the great!" Looking back on the last few years of Longhorns football, I am absolutely grateful for where the program stands in 2024. Credit goes to everyone involved.
