  1. The reason for Kiffin has and always will be....win at all costs. Screw everyone and everyrhing else. He thumbed his nose at every other institution he was an employee of. LSU obviously has the same view or they would step in and do what needs to be done. I cant remember anywhere that dude has gone that didnt have the stinch of burned bridges and scorn of anyone affiliated.
  2. Miami North Carolina Georgia Tech Reasons for recruiting only. Honorable Mention: Id love to see Texas play the Service Academies for no other reason than those guys are all heart and youre going to get their best shot. Add to that the pomp and circumstance that goes with those games are incredible.
  3. The same play Arch came in and ran when replacing QE. Roll right
  4. 38-10 Texas. Defense scores 1 TD. 1 RB 100 yds rushing 1 WR 100 yds receiving.
  5. Judge did say that but that will not stop other schools in the SEC from boycotting those games. The conference its self may not be able to but the collective of schools without the guidance of the conference sure can.
  6. Curious how long it takes for LSU to try and buy Kiffin out of that contract to try and make nice with the rest of the SEC. Dude has left his players high and dry at every stop yet still gets hired at priority schools. Makes no sense that hes made it this far given his penchant for screwing his teams and employers.
  7. Looks like the Denver Longhorns. Im sure they have a chapter of Texas Exes up there by now
  8. Better get on one of the tech forums and find sorsby or the clown sugar daddy and ask them. Im sure theyd be happy to point you in the right direction. Just ribbing ya.
  9. Seems to be an easy play for any university worth their salt. Sorry...cant come back due to the detriment of said sports program. If it goes to court again saying you must have them...no nil no travel no playing time. Because they are there does not mean any team has to continue in this charade. It would make it so these grown people who are now getti g paid start to realize if you leave a job for another opportunity your previous employer does not owe you anything. Welcome to the real world. Put your bog girl or boy panties on and grow up.
  10. Agree with the top 25 in College football, but top 5 in College sports as a whole. He has done a great job of selling the Texas brand and communicating the expectations via coaches and staff. The DEMAND to reach for excellence both on and off the field.
  11. Agree completely...as far as the portal they should get 1. If they want to move again there should be a 1 year hold time where they can practice but can not play. Exceptions made for family emergency issues of course. As far as any player participating in any NFL camp or professionally recognized program to include overseas should receive an automatic ban from "college" sports. Call it a non compete clause. I am all about these guys getting paid, however this has to be reigned in.
  12. I am glad that the 2 highest profile conferences have voted to nix this craziness. To play devils advocate tho... NCAA players are already getting paid thus they are professional athletes already. How much does ot really matter if they uave eligibility left that they move from one business to another. The only difference is where the paycheck comes from. Not by any means advocating for this but there is a legitimate argument.
  13. I hope Masunas can develop into a well rounded TE. All State hands would make this offense even more dangerous than it already is. He is a proven blocker but a good year catching the ball with so much attention on the WRs and RBs will leave him 1 v 1 on likely the last resort coverage guy. Should give Texas very reasonable matchups + defenses wouldnt be able to key him to rather it was pass or run plays.
  14. Nice to see the young man gettin work in again
  15. Out of curiousity has Texas shown any interest in Joe McKinney II. 10.3 100m dash. Game breaker from the little bit I have seen.
  16. Seems that Texas has had a rough go of it at LB. Liona Lafau, Bo Barnes l, and now T. Smith. Is there something deeper going on in that position room?
  17. Glad to see him back on the field + thats 2 years of no wear and tear so may be a blessing in disguise.
  18. Just give me a pistol....not the grip. There would have been a lot more ventilation in that helmet by the time i was done.
  19. While this group doesnt have a lot of snaps, there is a ton of talent. Hopefully this season will bear that out.
  20. When the pads start popping music to my ears will be that the oline was moving the dline off their spots. We all know the Texas defense is going to be a problem, but hopefully that oline will come away with some Ws in camp via the interior run game. Icing on the cake would be Texas getting to game 1 without any serious injjury.
  21. I believe EVERYONE including myself had much higher aspirations for last season. The reality is our Oline was not good, but that was far from the only issue. Penalties on both sides of the ball plus ST. Not causing turnovers or allowing first downs in crucial spots. Dropped balls by the wrs. More MEs than you can shake s stick at. The bottom line is the first half of the season was atrocious but the second half of the season showed some of the potential. Point is it was not just a Flood issue. It was a HC issue...it was a PK issue...It was a Banks issue...It was a leadership issue from the players with a C on their chest...It was an across the board problem. The first half of the season Texas looked worse than a modern art masterpiece. There was a lot of growth tho and that should give us all hope for what the upcoming season could and should be.
  22. I hope she can stick whether its in the wnba or a euro league, but from watching her, she was quite the marshal on the court. Would love it if she came back to Texas to do that, whether its now or way out in the future.
  23. Either Europe or Sign with Texas as a recruiter/development assistant. She was at least half the heartbeat of Texas on the court. If she were to bring a quarter of that to the coach/development side Id call that a win.
  24. On the offensive side I think hw will be the suprise, especially in the passing game. Texas has too many weapons and itll leave Masunas on a less athletic linebacker. Probably be number 4 in the you worry me area after all 3 wr and a rb. Plus the fact that he is known as a blocker will catch some off guard and itll be easy for Sark to scheme some open looks.
  25. Agreed. Probably one of the worst things that happened in CFB ever. What sticks in my craw though is with how severe these findings were, the NCAA let them off lighter than the death sentence they gave SMU. There seems to be a real crisis in what is deemed important.
